Wort chiller etiquette

Please purge the pump after you chill your wort. Your friend, Neal

For reals.  You have to flush

For reals.  You have to flush the pump and chiller with, at the very least, star san after chilling.  Preferably run some hot water and oxy through there, and then run star san.

Ya that is unacceptable to

Ya that is unacceptable to not run Star San at the minimum once you are done. preferably after a brewday someone should run hot PBW solution through it. Eric and I did it last week before we chilled and you wouldn't believe the amount of questionable shit that came out of there.

Agreed that's annoying as

Agreed that's annoying as hell and very unsanitary.

On a more disturbing note, I stopped by the brewhouse last night and found the main gas line for brew station one and the water heater left open.  We're not out of the brewhouse yet, let's not blow it up!
