It's 2am and I just got home from our first official event in the new space and I couldn't be happier. We hosted 30 people for a 4 hour lab event at Chicago Ideas Week. The response was phenominal, and all the help received today was above and beyond expectations. The brewhouse looked put together today, we had a two reporteres there, one from the Tribune, and one from CIW that will be writing articles on us.
A big thank you for Ale Syndicate, ALEMAN, MakeItFor.Us, and Capone's Liquors for all their contributions from beer, to speaking, to the opportunity for the lab.
Thanks to Lucas, Mark, Chuck, Bill, Jeff, Ken, Josh, Matt, and the CIW Voluenteers for going above and beyond to help orchestrate the event tonight & really owning the lab experience. If I missed anyone, please comment below, it's late :)
The general feedback was very positive, I'm glad that we have follow up events in the wing, we learned a ton for staging our next event so let's put that knowledge to good work and keep charging ahead. I love that discussion on how to be better at our next event were already being discussed and that we already want to do better.
Thanks again, I'm thrilled at how everything went & I couildn't have done it without the help,
Conrad
Thanks for setting this up, we're going to get a lot of exposure and hopefully some new members. Also, thanks for spending the day getting the brewhouse in order. It looks like a completely different place!
Agreed, Conrad did an amazing job cleaning everything up, the place looks awesome, thanks again everyone for the work they did this weekend and yesterday!
Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
