We received an invite by Christopher Mann of Chicago Craft Beer Enthusiasts to brew for their July 26th CCBE Homebrew Showcase. Sounds like an awesome time! Here's what he writes:
I help run a group called Chicago Craft beer Enthusiasts, a group of men and women from the Chicagoland area who share a passion for quality beer and helping out the community. July 26th we have a CCBE Homebrew Showcase event planned in the city to raise money for the Alliance for the Great Lakes. We found this fitting since all of the water used to produce the beer we love to brew and drink comes from these lakes.
We are looking for people to brew a batch of something for this event and wanted to reach out and extend an invitation to your group and members.
Conveniently wicker park fest is happening this same day with the south stage set up right across the street of the massive loft/roof we will be hosting this at. Can't go wrong with a day of homebrews, music, food, and giving back.
If you happen to be interested let me know, we would love to have you attend and possibly brew something together collectively as a group or through your individual members.

Any chance you want to lead a CHAOS brew? Or, did you have some homebrew of your own to bring?
Was planning on brewing a 6e at home, but if you'll let me use brewhouse gear, I'd be happy to lead one.
Let's see if a Brewer chimes in here; if someone does, you're good to go!

The event will be taking place July 26th at 3pm in Chicago.
Those not brewing will be asked to bring food for the grills, and we suggest a donation via the go fund me link, where all donations will be sent directly to Alliance for the Great Lakes. As an incentive to donate for a cause that affects us all as beer enthusiasts, I will be putting together a raffle of various bottles, swag, gift certificates, etc. Those that make the suggested donation ($20) will be entered in it, those brewing something will automatically be entered in it.
