Brewhouse Deep Clean - 9/23/2015
I am organizing a brewhouse deep clean night on Wednesday, September 23rd starting at 6pm.
Looking for 6 to 8 members to assist. Sign-up by commenting below.
I'll be there!
Can't make a Wednesday, but I might brew Tuesday night and if so, let me know some one-person tasks and I could get started.
I can help, but I'll get there a little late. Around 7ish. See you guys there!
I'll be there.

Thank you Matt Omura, Bill Sansom, Mike Struck, Jeff Whelpley, Rich Rawlings, Nancy Rockwood & John Gammal for busting their asses last night!
We scrubbed the walls and floors of the brewhouse, emptied & sanitized the fridges, cleaned the bathroom, and scrubbed brewhouse tables & equipment.
If you could not make it last night and would like to help the following areas still need attention:
ll shelves cleanedand floor mopped)Area vacuumedand mopped)Sweeptand mopped)Vacuumed)I'll try to get some of that knocked out tomorrow.
Cleaned the mill area + vacuumed, dusted the vacuum itself, the top of the lagering fridge, and wiped down the bar and swept bar area. About all I could muster with two brews going.
Thanks for your help Kyle!!
Yeah, way to step up on a two batch brew day!
Just so Ken can edit his post, I didn't vacuum the hallway... Just the mill area.
I got to the brewhouse bright and early this Sunday morning and got two deep cleaning items done:

Way to go Jim! Thanks for stepping up!
Thanks Jim!
Here is the updated list for those of you with time.
If you could not make it last night and would like to help the following areas still need attention:
ll shelves cleanedand floor mopped)Area vacuumedand mopped)Sweeptand mopped)Vacuumed)Moved the fermenters and mopped the fermroom floor today. As when I scrubbed the shelves, I tried to keep brewers' fermenters in the same half of the room that they had been, but probably not in exactly the same place.
Also re-scrubbed the half of the top shelf nearest the door, because someone's carboy had exploded all over it. Its a good reminder to use blowoff tubes and, if you see that your carboy has made a mess, don't just leave it - clean it up. This particular carboy explosion had made a mess that spread underneath nine other fermenters. And I counted a billion fruit flies in the sweet sticky mess.

Jim, I am missing a full keg of mine that was in the ferm room prior to you cleaning it. Any ideas on where it is (if you indeed moved it)?
And thank you for cleaning, it looks great!
I was there last night brewing and both Icehouse and Boolish did a deeper clean of the ferm room, lots of kegs got moved around. Did you check near the Kegerator? I saw your black keg over there just outside of it, but not sure if that's the keg you were looking for.
Yeah, I saw that one. The one I'm looking for is plain with white tape and my name on it.
Matt, when i moved things out of the ferm room, I left them right by the door, by the brew station there, so I'm pretty sure I put everything back. I'm not sure how I could have missed it if I didn't put it back, but anything's possible. I suppose its also possible that someone else moved it from there while I was in the ferm room cleaning and didn't see it, but that seems unlikely, too.
I'll look around when I'm there on Thursday, too.

Hey Matt, I think I might have seen your keg yesterday. There were a number of kegs brought out of the ferm room. One had your name on the side, but had a different beer label. Something like John R or Jeff R sound familiar?
Nancy, and Ken were both there as well, maybe one of them knows where it went?
