Now that we have the accessible grain and edibles issue taken care of, we now need to address the squatting taking place in the upstairs storage area.
At some point next month we will be holding a brewhouse cleaning day, which will include the brewing areas, front bar and upstairs storage. The date will probably be determined at next month's meeting, if not sooner.
In the mean time, if you have anything on the floor in the storage area, please have it removed by Saturday, September 30th. There are some storage spots available, so if you need one, shoot me a PM. Otherwise take your stuff home. Anything on the floor after September 30th will become property of the club and used or disposed of as we see fit.
Also, if you have something laying about any other areas of the brewhouse, that also will be acquired by the club; excluding your labelled carboys or kegs by the carboy racks in back. Carboys and kegs by the keezer are a no go, however, for now, it's fine to keep them under the stairs if there's room. In the future we will probably be using the area under the stairs for something, so don't count on that being a permanent place for your kegs/carboys.
Thanks!
Thanks for this, Jeff. Maybe we could do some work by the keg/carboy racks, its a mess, hard to get to your stuff, etc. I could help with that, after Hugh's wedding is past.

Yep, that area is definitely on the radar!
I cleaned up and arranged the car boys and kegs today. The fire pits are nested, arch rock buckets are under the stairs, and its much easier to get from the back to the fornt of teh nrew house.
We have a ton of carboys that are sitting on the floor in the back of the BH there from when we redid the ferm room, so I think we should take inventory again when we do the brewhouse cleaning in Oct.
When we added the new carboy shelves and keg storage underneath the shelves, we were imediately filled up within a week, I think we need to set a limit to a max of 2 to the number of carboy spots and kegs that a member can store for free, if you want to keep more than that rent more storage. That being said if you want to keep 2 or 3 buckets nestled in one of the spots that works for me.
Thouhts???
Reed - I think that has always been the rule, just not enforced. How do you enforce it?
Personally, I think if we don't have room for everyone to store their carboys, then you should have to pay to keep them there, just like storing anything else. Tape off the racks and sell two-wide spots.
