Hi CHAOS folks,
Does anyone have a computer monitor they would be willing to donate to CHAOS? We are trying to get a brewhouse computer set up with beersmith and internet. We have hte computer and the internet connection, just need a monitor. Due to space we would much prefer a flat one, but we will take what we can get.
Thanks,
James
There's a fully functional laptop in the drawer over there.
I was under the impression it is not functional.
It was mine - when I donated it, it worked. If it doesn't anymore, toss it.
It is fully functional and has BJCP and beersmith on there.
What we need to do is get that printer up and running so someone can concoct a beersmith recipe and print it out rather than running back and forth from the office to the brew bays.
Does anyone know if all the cords are there for the printer?
Alright, thats great. Mark, can you bring your internet thing next time you are there and set it up?
Set what up? Just plug it in and turn it on. It's already "set up."
The internet, set up the internet. Sometimes you just dont read.
I read your post perfectly well. We had been talking about the computer and so "it" could refer to either the "internet thing" or the "laptop." I took it to mean the latter.
Basic sentence structure. "internet thing" is the only noun in the sentence. "It", being a pronoun, refers to the noun.
Mark, can you bring your internet thing next time you are there and set it up?
Thanks for the grammar lesson. :-P
Im just giving you a hard time because I have nothing better to do. :)
Heh. Heh. Let's not kid, though: even if you had a million things to do, you'd drop whatever you're doing just to give me a hard time. :-)
At any rate, it will be awesome to have internet in the brewhouse!
I will go to the brew house and plug in the internet. James - have you planned a place for it to live? The laptop, not the internet, see me preventing more grammar discussions?
Heh.
I had the 'puter on the desk (the plug runs in back of the keezer to the power strip). I think it got moved for Stout Night and never put back.
The printer was mine, all of the cords should be there for it and it should have some black ink left.
Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
