no diff person but thanks!
If you are going to be in the chicago city proper, here would be my list of beer related places to hit up.
Local Brewies to shop for (my favorite in parens):
I am sure I am forgetting a ton of great places too, but this should be a good list to start on your chicago beerducation.
Cheers!
The only one Grizwold failed to mention is the Maproom, which is just a great beer bar, with a pretty heavy belgian focus, and Maria's which is the home of Marz brewing. Also Vice...
Also, keep an eye on our schedule as well, we'd love to have you stop by our community brewhouse and have you tell us about the brewing scene in Nebraska and share with you some of the brews our members are working on.
thanks gof the feedback, i would love to come by your brewing space looks pretty impressive! i am jealous. something to shoot for for our brew club i guess.

Since no one else has said I will. Lagunitas!
The emperor is not as forgiving as i am
Oh man how could i forget Lauganitas. They are a local brewey now, and there is a lot of local made stuff that they do not bottle/can distribute including their new up and coming sour program.
I totally agree on Map Room. It is a great locals type pub as well. No food, but always a great draft list.
