Organization & Purpose
Our mission is to cultivate the art of brewing and the appreciation of craft beer through education, exploration, and community.
Members belong to a number of other brew clubs; members also work for a number of different breweries; members have even moved on to become head brewers at breweries as well as to start their own breweries/brewpubs. CHAOS, however, never was, never is, and never will be a for-profit venture. We incorporated as an IL not-for-profit corporation and have also received IRS 501c3 non-profit status for the sole purpose of better serving the club including obtaining licenses for events or rent venues; making prices for group buys and equipment tax-free; making members’ donations tax-deductible.
Whether you are making the leap to brewing your own beer, or looking to take your passion for brewing to the next level, CHAOS has options for newbies and ninjas alike. We even have non-brewing membership levels for artisanal beer fans looking to join the fun at events, like our legendary Stout & Chili Night.
