Dan and I tested the clubs brew haus yesterday and here are a few notes.
The electric stove performed very well. It took just over an hour to bring a full 5 gallons to a roiling boil.
The vent fan needs to be moved closer to the stove to work properly.
The sink was completely useless because it would not drain. I suspect the hose we have hooked up to is a bit to long, but since it is not my hose I felt we should not cut it down till we got permission.
The space was comfortable with 2 guys brewing at the same time.
Counter space is limited, but can be solved with some folding chairs.
Over all I'd give the space an A. I can't wait to brew there again!
Let's say Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening; you call the times, I'm free both evenings.
I can also make time to get in there during the week. There is stuff I can do there as well. Let me know what works for you Jim and I'll make sure that the doors can be opened.
Oh, okay. Just checkin'. Then, yeah, two two-hour evenings for me Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday next week would be all I need. My summer is quickly coming to an end so I will have a lot less time to devote physically (I can still handle electronic stuff like Twitter and Facebook from school and/or home).

Wait, what are you painting, Iggi? Are you doing the first coat of stain which means I only need about 2 hours to do the finish? If that is the case, I can drop off the shelves around 7:00 and you can do one coat on those, too.
The artspace event starts at 10 or so. The painting will go fairly quickly, the rest of my time will be focused on preparing our wares for the event. 7pm is better for me, gives me time to take care of domestic items. We can work shit out for the weekdays next week. I can be there on Saturday earlier in day, I would just need a commited timeslot so I can plan around it.

I will try to switch my dinner plans (or head down there afterwards if you guys are indeed going to be there 'til midnight as Iggi said). But, during the week for the next three weeks (esp. afternoons) are always better for me, unfortunately. Can I come two evenings next week Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday? It'll take me no more than 1.5-2 hours each evening. Once the shelves are in we can get some of that grain or other stuff into the bins I got.
Hey bill, I'll be there for sure...around 7. I talked to Iggi tonight and he said he was planning on being there too to do some painting. Jim I think will be there too.
Max told me the 19th, which is a Friday. In the past all the Subrosa events have been on Fridays, too.

ARRRRRGGGGGHHH. My weekend is filling up with family obligations.
I am free literally EVERY afternoon next week from noon-5 p.m. and my afternoons will NOT fill up (everyone who normally monopolizes my time at night and on weekends is at work!). Let me know if I can get in there a couple afternoon next week.
FYI. This Friday there is another (non CHAOS related) event going on at 914, the Subrosa event. But, I think it doesn't start until 10 - I think. So you should be good.
I might be able to change my plans around for Friday to be there, too. But, I am free most of Sunday afternoon/evening/night. Any chance I can get in there Sunday?

also, one of them fridges is gone now, just the big one. but the sink is pretty much still in place. we are open to relocation but the water access is just above it. it is a floor drain that is open, and i believe on a slight angle if i remember correctly. dunno why its that way. i think thats the clogged one, but LL gotta clear that one way or another.

Today is no good for me. Iggi is the only other person that currently has a set of keys. I'll shoot him a text and see what his availability is.
I dont have any pictures specifically for the sink and drain. However, below you can see a picture of the fridges (only one fridge is still there, the big white one) If you look to the left of the fridge there is a locker, which is also moveable. Behind the locker is a floor drain that pipes into a second floor drain located in the center of the brew house. The distance between the sink and the floor drain is about 8 feet. I'll see if i can't take a better picture next time i am there. This picture was one that we took a while ago...but will help give you an idea.
I talked to Max, our landlord, about using the secondary drain located behind where the fridge is now. Ideally we would be able to get rid of the hose and install a trap and some PVC. We also should consider putting a clean out cap the ensure that we don't get any hug clogs. With a pipe running to the secondary drain, it is out of the way and is not a trip hazard. Anyone want to do some minor plumbing?
It'll be an easy fix, we just need to decide what to get exactly for it. Ask Dave, I haven't looked up under there.
I would also give the brew house an A. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to brew there. I'll admit I was a little skeptical. I'm thinking it may even be possible to do 10 gallons with my megapot there if it's stretched over the front two burners. I'm not planning on brewing at home anymore if that's the case.
Gotcha.
The sink does not have a standard p-trap set up because we do not have access to the main sewer, so we have a jerry rigged system that consist of a garden hose running from under the sink to the drain in the middle of the space. The hose is probably six feet in length and needs to be cut down a bit so the water will flow through into the drain.
Why wouldn't the sink drain?
