Niilo and I are brewing tonight around 8:30, give or take. My system takes time and it's a long process so anyone can come out for any part of it. If there are enough people around we can discuss club things, the bluegrass event, etc...

Thanks to niilo for coming out to help some. This shit was a fucking nightmare. I found myself in my kitchen at 6:30 AM (9 or so hrs from the start) using my hands to separate the wort from the hops. There was beer all over the cabinets, the floor, the fridge, me. It was all so beautiful though.
Had major probs hitting the right mash temps. The 10 degree margin between strike and mash doesn't work so well when you're using 25 lbs of grain. I'm mashing the same grain tonight for the second runnings and still had problems with that.
First batch was a 1.092 imperial stout. I dumped some oatmeal in the mash tonight. We'll see what comes out.
