Cherry beer recipe - suggestions welcome

I got a little crazy buying cherries last week and decided to make a pie to utilize my excess. The cherry pie recipe I used included almond extract and it really added a lot to the flavor, which got the gears turning. I know that Conrad has made a few beers that included pouring some liquor in, I was thinking that tossing in some amaretto in a cherry wheat might really be interesting and something I'm gonna try in the future. Just an idea that I thought I'd share.
