I'm definately in for 2. If we get a bunch maybe we can talk him down $5-$10 per keg. And you can get a whole new o-ring set for $3.99 online @ midwest supplies - I'm sure the price would be similar at Brew and Grow or other supply shop.
I'd give these guys a good soak in PBW either way so I'd get mine as-is from the pallet.
Boolish, are you getting any kegs from this guy or were you just letting Chaos know about this deal? I agree that we should get moving on this. They are pretty cheap and I'm not sure how much cheaper we can get them for. So far we want 9 total, right? I will email him now and see how he takes payments and if he'll go down to $40 as is. Does that sound good? If your order has changed, please let me know when you see this!
John (Gammel) - are you still willing to pick them up? Also, how would we work out the money situation? I suppose we could pay him directly (paypal, Chase quickpay, etc) but run the risk of not getting the merchandise.
Yup, I got the same response. I tried getting it for $40 and he was nice, but gave the same bulk breakdown. He said he can take cash or paypal. If everyone has chase quick pay you can pay me and I can just pay him when I pick them up. If not, maybe we can PayPal him separately as long as he knows it's the proper order. Here is the order so far
Kyle 2, Brandon 2, Steve 2, Brock 1, Josh 1, Griswald 1, John 1. That's 10 total. We should keep it consistent and just get he kegs as is. I'll let him know we're interested while we hammer this out. Everyone get back to me with their ability to pay me and confirmation of order, please. Thanks!
Way to step up everyone! I just emailed him to make sure $440 was still good for ten. I'll let you know when I get a confirmation then you can quickpay me. I'll pm everyone that doesn't have my email, but hang tight till I confirm the details. Thanks!
Cool James. 1 for sure, cause I'm finalizing the order now. Everyone else, chase pay me $44 a keg asap!!!!! As soon as you pay me I will grab the kegs and get them to chaos! He responded and has 20 left
I'm interested in 3 and can quickpay, just need the email address. If we get over the 15 keg threshold, I vote that we all still pay 44 and the organizer gets the extra buck of savings per keg as a thank you.
Hi fuman. I'm going after work today and giving the guy cash. I can only take out $500 a day with chase so you'll have to pay this guy through PayPal for your 3 kegs. If you an do it before 6 (when I get there)bi can grab them for you and drop them off at chaos. If not, you're on your own. I will pm you with his info now. That goes for any new people that want kegs. I got the original people if they chase me today. I have the money from brandon, joe, and brock. Thanks! Everyone else needs to chase pay me asap or I won't grab your kegs. Thanks
Matt and James, he got your payments and we're good to go. I also got everyone's payment and will be grabbing and paying for them tonight. I'll put names on them all and leave them at the brewhouse by tomorrow or Wednesday! Well done, everyone!
Thanks for all the kudos, guys! I delivered the kegs to chaos yesterday afternoon and stored them by the bar. I put names on each individual keg randomly. They look pretty beat up, but Yev assured me they were transported under 40 psi and held the pressure. He also said we should definitely change the rings on them, cause all that pressure for however long they were under it, has smooshed the rings. When we pressurize them at 5-10 psi to serve they may not hold it that well. He was a cool guy and I may have just convinced him to join chaos, although he has a pretty elaborate brewing system at home. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll see you all around!
Adventures in Homebrewing will be $1.99 a piece if we order more than 25 with $5 flat rate shipping. Less than 25 is $2.49 per. This is for the common, 5-piece replacement set. I also think they're Brewing Network sponsors, so there may be a coupon code floating around there as well.
So if we can get other members interested to up that order, it would be cool. I'd probably go ahead and get some for my other kegs that are most likely due for replacement.
I'd be in for 2.
I'm in for one for sure. I live in edgewater and could pick them up and drop them off at the club. Should we get them cleaned or dirty?

I'm in for 2
Has anyone contacted this guy yet with our intent? Those are really good prices and I see him moving those kegs at a good clip.
Put me down for 1. Boolish, are you getting in touch with the guy or should we do so individually?
I want 2 now that I think about

put me down for 1
I definitely would like to get into kegging. Specifically my beer for the BrewBQ. Would we have the kegs in time for that?
Regardless, Put me in for 1 please.
I was just letting people know. Didn't know there'd be this much interest.
I probaly don't have the time to organize a group buy, so someone else will have to take the lead here.
Has anyone contacted seller yet? I'll help organize the group buy if needed
I remember when I could buy these for $25....however many years ago. Sigh.
- Poisson Out!
Hey John Any word from the seller?
I shot the seller and email said he paid $36 plus freight so price is pretty firm. but he'll do $43 for 15 kegs or $44 for 10 kegs.
Thanks, Steve. I think that's a good deal.

Thoughts?

I'll try out QuickPay again, but was unsuccessful last time I was trying to get Josh $$. If that doesn't happen, Josh, could I paypal you?
Awesome! That's a great idea, John.
I am confirmed for 2. I can chase quickpay you ($88, correct?). Just need your email. PM me if you don't want it on the public forum.
I can quick pay also and confirm i want 2. Let me know if you need any help
I'll QuickPay you right now for 1
quick pay for me, still in for 1 for sure.
kyle im not doing the buy john is. If you cant quick pay work out with him.

Josh, I know - I was just saying I had tried to quick pay you last year for one of the barrel projects and it was a PITA.
Regardless - looks like I got it to set-up this time, so quickpay should work for John.
I guess if this is still open, I'd be in for 1 keg.

I just sent you $ too. Thanks john.
John, I sent him Paypal directly if you are still able to pick them up today.

You're the best John, thank you!!
Seriously, well done on the quick turnaround.
You are the man, John! Thanks very much for making this happen.

Awesome John thanks a lot. I'm going to come hang out at Saturdays open house so I'll grab mine than.
Perhaps we can get a group buy of ring sets together then? I might have some time in the next day or so to look at some different vendors.
Awesome, thanks John!
Kyle, if you do put something together, I'm on board.

I would be in for getting in on a group buy set of rings.
