leaking at the base

THERE IS A SMALL LEAK OCCURRING AT THE BASE OF THE TOILET. THE WATER SOURCE HAS BEEN SHUT OFF.

if it's trully at the base,

if it's trully at the base, it's the wax ring.  likely due to loose bolts causeing the toilet to rock back and forth.  but if it's just water collecting around the base than it's the supply line connections.  best to wrap some toilet paper around the flex line and the connections, turn it on for a minute and see if the paper gets wet, then you'll know.  if it's the supply line it will continue to leak until tightened or replaced.  if it's the wax ring it'll just leak when flushed.  if it's neither, it could be the tank to toilet connection, in which case it will continue to leak until fixed.  hope that helps.

You could also put some food

You could also put some food coloring in the tank, then flush the toilet and see if the colored water comes from the base. If it does, then it's the wax ring.

Not sure, I didn't actually

Not sure, I didn't actually see it. I just reported it based on what I heard from other parties that night. I am definitely looking forward to using the food coloring technique though.

This is not a difficult fix;

This is not a difficult fix; it's just gross and a pain in the ass.  Maybe a pre-meeting chore we can do. Chuck and other handy folks, want to team up on this and spend 30 min fixing this up?
