Hi all,
Over the weekend, the fire pits were used. Unfortunately, some of the wood used contained nails, which were inadvertantly left laying about the parking lot, then ended up in some tires.
Two things:
1) Please be aware of nails or anything else that may be in the wood you're using for a fire.
2) Do not dump the fire pits in the parking lot. Be sure the fire has been extinguished, then dump the contents into the dumpster. If that means waiting until the next day, then wait until the next day.
If you have any questions, let me know!
And if you are going to burn scrap lumber, take the nails out. Or better yet, don't burn scrap lumber.
wonder if we can get one of those metal drums from somewhere to put coals and spent fire in like they have in parking lots for tailgating.
Then what do you do with the drum?
after it cools dump it in the garbage.
Steve, if we're going to have fires in the parking lot, that's a very good idea - much safer than just leaving it out.
