I had been trolling the hops direct site waiting for the pounds of amarillo and citra to be released this year. Then went out for a drink....came home and they are already sold out. They sold more then 400 lbs of citra and amarillo hops in 20 min. Let the hoarding begin.......this is going to be a tough year for thoes varieties. I give up.......but i do reccomend the cascade and centanials. I bought some last year and they were the best quality hops i ever purchased.

That is insane. I say that we start experimenting with the lesser-used hops. Amarillo and citra are over-rated... It was probably Niilo who bought out all the Citra. ;-)
ive always been content with hallertauer and saaz as im not a big hop head. but the citra did tweak my nipples a bit. i bought some a while back but still waiting to use them. same with amarillo

I was on their site as well waiting for the moment they put them up and managed to not get either. I couldn't believe how quickly they went. Based on your reccos I did pick up a variety of other hops and should be set for a while.
yeah i did the same......got pound of centanial, 2 of cascade, columbus, blema, and some german mittelfriut. ill wait till northern brewer comes out with their hops and get my armillos for the year. I actually dont even like citra...i was just going to get a pound for who ever wanted them.
