Are there any places like this in Chicago? The concept for this place is intriguing.
Does anyone know what type of license would be necessary to open a shop like this?

Jim, I've looked into this idea and came away with the answer of "not in Chicago". I didn't bother to check out if it's an IL or Chicago issue after getting a no. What it basically comes down to is that you cannot sell draft beer To Go unless it was made onsite in your brewery/brewpub. It sucks because I've been to places like this in other states and they're great.
About 1 year ago there was an article about a place in Lakeview wanting to be a "Growler Filling Station". After the first article I haven't seen anything else about them & wonder if they didn't do their research.
I won't let this evolve into a "Why Illinois and especially Cook County sucks" rant.
That's too bad though.
