I've got some time scheduled Saturday June 8th at 10:30. Since I'm apprentice level I'll need a brewing mentor present. Also, while I have a few extract batches under my belt, I've never gone all grain, so I might need a bit of assistance and instruction and making the 101 classes during the week is proving very difficult with my work schedule. I can offer lunch or a 6-pack in return or whatever is required. I'm planning on doing a small batch of Kolsch. between 1-3 gallons. Conrad gave me a recipe he used for a kolsch, and I'm doing my best reading and researching so I'll be prepared and knowledgeable when the time comes. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
Joe
That's a Saturday, so somebody will almost certainly be available to help you out. I'd love to but I'll be out of town that weekend.
Joe, I just brewed the Kolsch with some minor adjustments to the hop bill. I'm checking on it this weekend but my OG was slightly off on this batch as I ended up at 1.040 instead of 1.045. I'll post the gravity when I transfer to secondary this weekend. It's a really easy recipe and a good one to get started on with all grain. Wish I could be there for the 8th, but Montreal calls!
