Shelving

At the new brewspace we are going to lose much of our storage space because we will not have a loft space. Shelving is going to be a must.

I found this via Craigslist...not sure how good the quality is:

If any other members have or know of some industrial strength shelfs please let us know ASAP.

Iggy has some quality shelving at his work, we need someone to go get it though.

See this thread if you can help:

if i have access to the van

if i have access to the van (which is never guaranteed, just gotta be flexible), i can bring it. this isnt going in the trash like the Cosi stuff. but it would make sense to bring it straight to the new place not the current BH

I feel like we could build

I feel like we could build some on the cheap: 2x4s,2x8s and supported plywood with a thin stainless sheet on top of each shelf would look nice

Yeah, if we're going to build

Yeah, if we're going to build something from scratch, I'd rather not use plywood around wet areas. Espically if there is metal shelving on offer.

I don't know how many of them

I don't know how many of them would fit in my truck(The Danger Ranger), but I am sure I can help out when the time comes.  Can't do it for a couple weeks, though.

Can we take the current loft

Can we take the current loft with us? We could use that wood to build shelving at the new place.

I assembled all the shelving

I assembled all the shelving and placed it in the back this past weekend. Wasn't able to move grain storage there, but Adam helped with the spacing of the shelves to maximize space. The first, second, and tops can handle grain buckets, the thrid can take carboys and misc. as it was impossible to stack 4 homers with the helight and clearance of the shelves. There is some moving of barrells and misc. that needs to be done in the back though once the storage of items has been moved.
