The grain mill is currently not working. Please be sure to have you grained milled before brewing at the brew house. We'll post when the mill is repaired.

Grain Mill Is Down
Ya so I was almost thru with milling my grain when I noticed it wasn't milling. The spider coupler slipped and wasn't connected. Chuck helped me reattach the two, but it looks like the screw that tightens it is missing so it still won't work. Seems like it shouldn't be too hard of a fix for someone who knows what there doing.
I'll try and get a replacement screw and I'm just going to loctite it in this time.
Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
Lucas, thank for you work, Sir. Any chance this'll be up and running by Saturday morning again? I've got a super early brew time, and would have to hit brew and grow during the week to mill my grains to be ready for it, not putting pressure on you, just want to plan accordingly. Also, do we have a back up hand crank mill? I recall seeing one at some point, but have no idea where it is.
Also, has anyone changed the mill gap? I milled some grain last week and a lot passed through uncrushed. I had to pass it through a second time. Maybe it needs to be readjusted.
When I brewed the Barley Wine for the barrel project I thought that the grain looked a bit on the undercrushed side, but thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me. Thanks for reaffirming my sanity Eric.
I had the opposite problem a couple weeks ago where the mill was set too fine and I had tons of issues with stuck sparges. I'm looking into the screw size now and will hopefully have this fixed, not sure when I'll be able to get over to the BH, this week is going to be a bit crazy for work.

it was definitely not crushing well enough for my brew on thursday either, but i tightened it up a tad and the second pass was perfect.
I think we still have the back-up mill. Its a barley-crusher and works off of the corded drill. I havent seen it in a while, maybe someone can confirm who has been there recently.
I didn't see it anywhere yesterday when the motorized mill went down for me. If we do have it, it would be good to have by the main mill in case it breaks down again so we have a way to finish milling.
Any update on this or should I get my grain milled at the ol' brew and grow tomorrow?
Joe - I haven't gotten over to fix it, although someone else may have.

It's temporarily fixed, you can mill on it.
Lucas - I just jammed a big screw into the gear. It needs a shorter screw, possibly some jb weld, and the crush needs to be calibrated.
