I think someone accidently threw out (or placed in a really good hiding space) all of the tubing used for transfering wort from the mash tun to the brew kettle.
We took the one long piece we had and cut it in half last night. I will not be able to make it to a home brew store before Sunday, if some could pick up more of the higher gauge, high temp tubing.
We can figure out a place for the tubing at each brew station soon, we still have some pegboard hooks.
I forgot to double check if there was still tubing in the bottling buckets last night. This could also need replacing.
Hey, Ken. I've already listed in another thread what the bottling stations still need; Jeff is getting it this week.
As far as the transfer tubing, I dunno.
I posted this in another thread, but for some reason I thought we bought a 100' spool of 1/2" silicone for the club. Was that just suggested or did we actually do that?
I bought a boatload of hose a while back, including some of the high temp stuff. If its gone, then no idea what happened to it. It was in the lockers last weekend.
Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
It may have been used on the Tower of Power...all of the tubing looked new.
Jeff found some 1/2" tubing but not the high-temp stuff...
The TOP came with its own tubing
We can get a 50' roll of the silicone stuff for around $120 shipped, if we want to have extra of that around.
On Sunday I believe all the high temp silicone was in the ferm room...I could be wrong but I think I recall a sighting of it there.
Gah. People should not be using silicone tubing for blow offs!
Frankly, this is why I don't think the club should provide any blow off tubing. Strictly byo. But that's a topic for another thread.
I agree no high-temp silicon shoudl be in the ferm room.
There was a bunch of misc. crappy tubing shoved into one of the bottling buckets but I coiled the single piece of high-temp stuff and put it on top of the buckets in the "tool"/hot water heater area.
The rest of the stuff (numbering no more than a few tubes) was crappy 1+" diameter stuff which I did indeed put in the ferm room as blow-off.
I feel like we decided everyone is responsible for their own blow off tubing and canisters?

We did; but, since there was misc stuff, I figured I"d put it in there instead of throwing it out... It was only a few pieces of tube.
