Prizes for Summer BrewBQ Raffle

CHAOS members were extremely generous for Cerveza de Mayo raffle. I'm wondering if lighning can strike twice. Could anyone out in CHAOS land donate prizes for our BrewBQ raffle on August 9th?

I'm willing to donate $50 for a Brew & Grow gift card. Anyone remember what denomination we raffled last time? Should a few of us chip in toward a bigger gift card, or do several smaller ones?

Thanks for the generous offer Brock, but we expect CHAOS partners like Brew N Grow will be willing to donate stuff like that, without the club or club members having to pay for it. It's a marketing expense for them. Certainly not to say that you can't contribute something, but just wanted to clarify on that.

I think Jim meant to ask if any members work or have friends or contacts at businesses that might want to donate prizes for the raffle.

Well, in this case, I think CHAOS members pitching in for a BnG gift card might be appropriate. Jeff tells me that BnG have hit their limit for the year for "handouts."

I didn't necessarily mean friends or contacts at businesses (e.g., I donated Cubs tickets and Nancy donated Blackhawks tickets) but that would be nice, too!

I would like to contribute to the Brew and grow gift card idea and I also did want to suggest something else as a prize. My family is currently in Mexico and they usually bring me good quality tequila that I rarely drink. Would a bottle of tequila be okay to donate s a prize?

Brock, $50 is very generous. Thank you!

We also never give away memberships. We'll raffle off a one-year Brewer membership, too (esp. since the summer party is historically our least attended; might draw a few more people than otherwise would come). I'll come prepared with a member card and welcome letter and everything to give the winner right then and there.
