Kegging - Workshop

Originally I pitched the idea of holding a Workshop in Semptember that would feature a Temp Controller Box build...but it was a mild reception.

One thing that I alway hear people ask about in the brew house is Kegging and Kegs.  I do have a keg that I need to rebuild and willing to turn this into a workshop where the class rebuilds it and we discuss the different parts, gaskets, functions, etc.

Thoughts?

I am definitely interested.

I am definitely interested. Would it be possible for this workshop to also cover the mechanics/functionality of the keezer (for the purposes of serving and force carbonating)?

I think this is a great idea.

I think this is a great idea. I haven't bought orings in years but aren't they less than $1 a piece? Or are you talking about new poppits, springs?

I can show my method for cleaning, sanitizing kegs and beer lines, taps as sell.

A while ago I ordered a large number of gaskets for kegs from McMaster to rebuild some of my kegs.  I left all of the extra gaskets (the small ones for poppets and QDs you have to buy in bulk bags) in the plastic drawers in the front up by the bar.  Wanted to make sure you knew so you didn't have to buy more.

Oh... my... god.  Why haven't we done this?    http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...

I think this is worth noting

I think this is worth noting in this thread that this is the perfect Kegging wrench, it ratchets and has both sizes you need for gas and liquid sides.  I have one, and despite the fact its greazy from keg lube, its pretty great.
