When it rains, it pours!
Welcome Sean Conway, our newest 24/7 Brewer! Sean almost needs no introduction. He is one of the newer members and yet he's been at most - if not all! - monthly meetings since then, he's also been at more than a few club events since then as well!
Not only does he weigh in at 1-2 brews per month, but he's curious to learn about beer and beer styles as well and willing to share that knowledge and experience in the not-too-distant future.
Sean is also the creator of the infamous, non-milled stout. But, I just tasted that tonight and it was a nice beer! Expect anything that this guy touches to turn to gold...beer gold. Hopefully he'll have something on tap for everyone to taste for Stout Night 2015!
Please join me in welcoming Sean to the ranks of 24/7 Brewers!
Hey I know that guy!
Also holy crap! It's been a busy week huh?
Congrats Sean!
Congrats Sean...welcome to the CHAOS!!!

Congrats man!
Thanks guys, I’m so happy to find this place and be one of group
Little into:
I like good wine - I have a good palate with wine but tolerate if poorly (one glass only or acid reflux.) Good vodka works I guess but rarely see why. Very good Tequila is great. (Good) Gin, Scotch - if you’re buying. But I love beer.
I’ve always been an uppity beer drinker, even before I turned of age, but drank my share of “Bud” too. It wasn’t until a trip to DC, a Belgian restaurant, that I truly found my way to great beer. That was 2007. Since then I’ve actively explored the beer landscape. With that first taste of Duvel, beer became a "thing" for me.
I still love the Belgians most, but I’m on a quest now to keep trying new beers of all styles because there’s always a great new experience - that 2007 epiphany was the first of many, and who knows where the next comes from?
And now, being with the club and all that comes with that, I can make my own great beers. How cool is that? , I guess you guys know that already.
Having lived in DC for seven years, I have to ask: which Belgian restaurant?
Brock,
Can't remember the name. I’m pretty sure it was in Adams Morgan (but maybe Foggy Bottom.) It was nothing special - quaint inside maybe, but we sat outside in a small space on the corner of the street. We chose it randomly because it was close to my (past) girlfriend’s friend’s (NPR’s Ari Shapiro) place for a meet-up. It was not a beer bar -few beer choices - which is why I went with a Belgian beer.
But It was spring in DC, early April. It was really perfect. You know. You have to miss that.
