New Copper Chiller Missing??

I just got to the Brewhouse and I can't seem to find the new wort chiller. Did I miss an announcement? Or maybe it has a new resting place?

It was hanging in a bucket

It was hanging in a bucket from one of the racks that holds the mash tuns last time I was there. Far right.

Well that's new. Ok I found

Well that's new. Ok I found it now, thanks Kyle. It seems that someone has changed the quick disconnects to the other chiller - and for good reason. The connection is still spewing everywhere.

If you're coming to brew this weekend, plan on using the counterflow chiller instead of the immersion chiller.

Yep, the hose needs to be

Yep, the hose needs to be replaced and I just haven't had the time to get to it yet.

Kyle - Is everything that is

Kyle - Is everything that is needed to fix the hose at the brewhouse?  I'll probably be stopping by for 15-20 minutes in a little bit if it is something that can be done in that amount of time and you can give me a general idea of what needs done.

So the problem was actually

So the problem was actually the gasket/o-ring inside the hose. That was replaced and all is fine, leak-wise. We will get a stockpile on hand in case this issue occurs again.

However, water pressure still appears to be an issue in the effectiveness of the chiller. I attempted to chlll 10 gallons and over the course of ~30 minutes, only about 6 gallons of waste water was collected (though it was scalding hot). I even shortened the outlet hose to reduce any pressure at this junction. I have another idea that I'll test out soon, but if that doesn't do it, then we should look back at acquiring or purchasing a replacement pressure booster.

The main issue, in my understanding, in this is not only the money, but getting permission and having to shut off the water to the entire building (not just the CHAOS space) for installation.

I appreciate everyone's patience in trying to build a better CHAOS. As always, anyone more well versed in thermodynamics is more than welcome to troubleshoot.
