To the evil geniuses who brewed Tuesday Feb. 16

Contrary to popular belief, false bottoms are NOT disposable.

I went to the brewhouse during my lunch hour today to prep for my big brew day tonight and I didn't enjoy the scavenger hunt you left me... looking for and digging out my false bottom from the spent grain bin.

A replacement would cost at least $41.95. Please don't throw away expensive equipment that belongs to someone else. Respect people's property and take care of it.

When cleaning said empty MashTun, and you notice there is no false bottom, kindly go retrieve it from the spent grain bin, BEFORE putting away the empty cooler.

OTHER HOUSE KEEPING REMINDERS:
- Take out garbage.
- Clean Pots (inside and out). Sticky oozing dried crusty wort on the sides isn't fun for anyone.
- Vaccum grain area.

Remember, brewing isn't brewing... brewing is actually cleaning.
Thanks and happy brewing!

I will accept your silence as an apology and thank you for Jedi mind telling me that you'll never do that again.

This is a good reminder,

This is a good reminder, thanks.  And if we are supervising an introductory or apprentice brewer, we're responsible for the mess they make.  Which it looks like may have been the case on the 16th.

Late to this thread, I was

Late to this thread, I was supervising three people that brewed 15 gallons of imperial stout, think they hit 1.103. At the time it looked like everything was getting cleaned up, but talking with Nancy last night, I could see a lot was left undone. My apologies again, Nancy.

I should have checked to see everything was tended to properly. The brewhouse was very full that night, and the whole thing went to 2am, so I was not on my game (never supervising another high gravity beer on a weeknight again.)

I'll reach out to the folks that made the mega brew and link them to this page, thanks for the visuals.
