All, Im opening up another barrel project. Recipe will be our typical stout recipe. Some of the ideas I had for this one is to do Coconut like I did for the test batch that came out of the last barrel. Or Vanilla. Or come up with some other ideas and we can vote on them. High west Rye barrel is on hold for me now. Will only be ordering if this gets filled up asap. Cost is $275 shipped divided amungst us.

In!
Adam,
Typically around 9-10 months but only real timeline is taste.
In. I vote coconut but am down with whatever our wood master suggests

IN! Vanilla
The emperor is not as forgiving as i am
I'm in! Coconut and vanilla both sound good to me!
Awsome. There were I few people I may have promised spots too as well. Waiting if they chime in but this should be a good mix of people so far.
I'm in, if there is still room.

Hi Josh - I had the good fortune to try a sample of the Berry Darling you guys made last year and it kicked ass! I would be interested in joining the barrel project in this round if there is space. I'm pretty new to Chaos so if there's a few people that have been on the waiting list then it is all theirs. Don't want to step on anyone's toes!!
How about coconut and vanilla?
Give it up Jeff, it's already been named.
Just making sure your needs are met.
IN! - CocoNUTS! Vanilla if default.
If I get a say I'd rather not do coconut. Really don't like the flavor in beer.
In if you saved me a spot!
Coconut can always be added after the barrel, so no biggie if it's not part of the main project.
IN. Hopefully didn't miss the cut.
awsome lineup is set. Ill post the Final Recipe soon and set timeline for brewing. Next step is emptying that lambic barrel as many volunteers as will come is appreciated. Ill be gladly giving away bottles of mine to those who help out.
Josh - What do we owe you for the barrel?
Havnt actually paid yet ill update asap i the guy i deal with went on vaca will be finalized next week
OK Everyone I updated the first post with the recipe. Have this brewed ASAP. I fully expect everyone to have this brewed ASAP. If you do not update or cannot get this brewed by the end of july you should let us know so you can be replaced.
The next update Ill give the final balance of the cost of the barrel to be paid asap as well.
also ill be brewing mine 16th am around 10 if anyone wants to double up on the TOP with me let me know.
Josh, I'd love to take you up on that TOP offer, if you don't mind having a less-than-stellar brewing partner: my back is still a bit messed up so I can't do as much lifting as usual.
Brock sounds like a plan. 773-915-3850 shoot me a txt and we can coordinate our brew day.
Just brewed: 1.115. 5.25 gallons .
Me too. OG 1.138, 4.5 gallons.
Me to 1.125 5.3 gallons.
Im assuming there may be another push this weekend to brew, brock and myself are doing ours Saturday. But everyone else get brewing or well have to substitute.
Me and Ken T are brewing on the ToP next week!
I won't be able to brew for this for two weeks - so it would probably be best to go ahead and replace me.

WAIT!!! I'm here!! Guys...Seriously? I was on vacation for a week and a half and just got back. Bought all the ingredients, including yeast already too. I was going to brew this weekend. Please dont give away my spot just bc i didnt' have internet last week
OK Adam but you should have let us know your plans if you wernt going to be here for that long!
Jay please dont brew.
I feel super bad for Jay. Can we put him first on the list for the next barrel?
There will be another barrel soon should be plenty of opportunities
No biggie. I passed on this forum post when it first came out and I might have a spot in with Kyle on a smaller barrel. It's all good.
Me and Ken each ended up with exactly five gallons at 1.123.
Me mike just finished brewing today. Ended up at 1.11 I believe
Awsome looks like were all done for now. Ill be getting the barrel in this week and well fill in the next few weeks
