What’s up, CHAOS! I hope you're all ready for an amazing bus trip in the great state of Michigan, with a final stop in Indiana. Here is the itinerary . . .
We'll all meet at CHAOS at 9:45am and the bus will leave at 10:00am SHARP! We'll get to Transient Artesian Ales at 12:00pm and stay there until 1:30pm. Mark Walters has talked to the owner there and he's got something nice planned for us. Thanks Mark!!!! From there we'll head to Arclight Brewing Company and hang with our old friend, Ed Nash, from 2:15pm to 3:15pm. We'll make another nearby stop at Silver Harbor Brewing Company from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. After that, we'll head to our final destination, 18th Street Brewing (the new one in Hammond) from 6:45pm to 8:00pm. Then it's back home to CHAOS for a 9:00pm return.
Four breweries, I know, pretty ambitious. We have the bus for sure and it holds 34 people. The cost, with tip, will be between $30-$45 per person. I am trying to make arrangements for lunch at Transient. I am hoping we can cater lunch for $10-$15 a person. This will make things much smoother for the first stop. So if we have no lunch at our first stop, it'll be closer to $30, with lunch it'll be closer to $45. There will also be food at the 3rd stop if any of us need to refuel, but that will for everyone to buy on their own. The bus allows us to BYOB and I will have snacks and water, included in the per person price.
So I will be taking reservations for the trip starting now to 10/7 or until it fills up (we only have 34 seats). Just reply to this thread with who is coming. Once we are filled up, I will need everyone to pay by 10/14. Between Chase, Venmo, and old school cash, this should not be a problem. So the first response you will be giving me is an unpaid reservation. After 10/7, you will actually need to pay me by 10/14, or I offer your spot to anyone on the waiting list. I'd like to keep this to CHAOS members at first (plus significant others or one friend) and open it to friends if we don't fill up. I will keep you all posted on the food option as it develops and I'll make sure I take into account any food restriction people have. The food option will be an all or nothing thing, so please leave a vote on one or the other if you so desire. I’ll decide on if we do the lunch option based on feedback and the price we get quoted for.
These trips are always pretty epic, for one reason or another, so you should really try to make it if you're free. This will be the main thread for updates, so stay tuned and get your reservations in so we can nail down all the other details once we have our 34 people.

Alright party people, hope you're ready for Saturday. Let us all please not be late, we're packing a lot into the day. Bus leaves at 10am sharp, so plan on getting there at 9:45am. I have cups, ice, coolers, water, and snacks. BYOB on the bus, so bring big whales, crushable sessions, or iced tea. Hi everyone. So since the Cubs are now playing at 7pm tomorrow, I thought we could all have a conversation about the bus returning at 9 and if people want that to change at all. Our only reservation is at 1pm at Transient. Everything else is very loose. We could remove one of the last 3 breweries or just cut the visit times down to 45 minutes. I'm personally a sox fan, but excited for Chicago. We could shoot tonbe back at 8pm, as to not miss too much of the game. I say we all have a conversation and vote on the way to Transient and we'll adjust then. Just wanted to put the thought in your beer brains. So excited about tomorrow. See you all at 9:45am-ish!!!!!!
