I know several members enjoy going to Dark Lord Day. The dates just came out and it looks like it falls on The same day as CERVESA... not sure if we want to consider changing anything. But just wanted to make sure we are aware of this.

Dark Lord Day... FYI.
Then 3 Floyds needs to change their date!
Ha! Somehow I don't think 3 Floyds gives a rat's ass about our parties.
Americo/Jayson, this could impact the attendance and volunteer pool for Cerveza, you may want to consider another date.
Ah no bueno.
I know not everyone trolls the forums constantly but can anyone who is going to Dark Lord day comment in this thread that they are going. I'd like to get a feel for how many ppl we could potentially be losing here.
Bastards . . . .

I'll be attending DLD... that doesn't mean I wouldn't try to make it to the party but in my past experiences at DLD I couldn't guarantee I'd remember much.
With the lagers being brewed for this, moving it further out would be fine, moving to earlier would be not so great.

Moving it forward to the 20th would put us on the first Saturday of Craft Beer Week. Could be a plus if we could somehow get into the offical calendar. But could be a minus if there are a few special events that day.
Kenny and I are not attending DLD and are planning to work the check-in for Cerveza
The only thing I see scheduled, so far, is the Beer Under the Glass thing in the 18th. The party might be a cool beer event for the 20th. It would certainly be the best value compared to anything else. We need to decide quickly, though, and get it on people's calendars.
Cool people still do Dark Lord? I thought only folks who get their primary news from Brietbart and Infowars went to that ripoff event...
I don't know where you get your fake news from Chuck, but several of us are going this year in order to make Dark Lord great again. Ask anybody, it's going to be so great. They have switched to 12oz bottles this year to accommodate our tiny hands.
Chuck, it's a tremendous beer. The greatest. You know what under-attenuation is, right? It's this thing called imperial stouts. And other beers. Like a lot of beer styles are made with under-attenuation. Including some great beers made by some great people.
People with failing careers won't drink them. They have low energy. The IPA. See, the public don't trust IPA any more. The IPA... I feel so bad for the people who drink IPA. They have terrible ratings. I drink other styles, with better ratings. Believe me. When the public finds out the lies. Untappd has been lying about IPA ratings. When I talk to people they say... "Boollish, I want to drink more under-attenuated beer", but failing Untapped won't say that. It's so sad.
Make stouts that taste like soy sauce great again?
Holy-Mother-of-Off-Flavors, I had an imperial stout recently that was nearly undrinkable because of the soy sauce. And this is a beer that I've enjoyed served fresh on tap at the brewery. Not 3F, but another brewery. I don't want to collect bad karma by calling them out, but that was some bad beer.

I thoroughly enjoyed each comment. I will reach out to Ken and Steven to see if we can change the reservation for the tent and port-a-potty for the 20th.
Not as many people do Dark Lord Day anyomore - but I don't see anything conflicting on the 20'th either.
Alleyfight is the 20th, but should end ~5pm.
