For those who haven't order 2-row yet. I just read an article on Pilot Malt house recently. They are a small craft malter based in southern Michigan. I've heard good things about their malt and the guys started out as home brewers. I'm going to try out a bad and see what I think. They also have a specialty grain called PB toast that sounds interesting. If anyone has purchased any of their grain please chime in and let me know what you thought.
At the brewhouse I use the home depot buckets with the gamma seal lids. If you're a high roller, the vittles vaults are top notch (what Struck (storage space #2) and the club (in the kitchenette have their grain stored in).
I use a big rubbermaid or sterilite rectangular tub. It has a cover with simple latches, and I've never had a problem. I think its about a 60-70qt size - held a full 50 lb bag of Briess malt without a problem.
I'm one that wanted the Pilot Malt. How many bags of Pilot were we buying? I'd offer to pick that up if it would fit in my Explorer when it's ready. If they could separate those bags from the others and someone could grab everything else soon. Not sure if that's an option?
Mike - did you put the extra Pilot on the regular order, or did you mean for me to add that manually? Also - We were up to 6 sacks of Pilot.... The whole order is shipping together.
So, if it is a possibility, I would gladly switch my Pilot order to avoid you or anyone having to make multiple trips. Not sure how others feel at this point.
Thanks Mark!!! I just want to give everyone a heads up that I won't be able to grab my Pilsner malt tonight since I'm heading directly to a concert after work. I'll need to figure out when I can swing by Saturday and hope the rats stay away tonight

It should be sometime that next week, if not within 2-3 days. Depends on how much ends up being ordered and who can go and get it.
