BREWER contra BREWER!
Considering we're embracing the luchador wrestling theme, I think we should let the audience vote on their favorite beers, then have the top two brewers go face to face for a final round of trash talk. The brewers can explain why their beer is best and plead to the crowd to crown them the winner. We let applause volume determine the final victor.
We've only had one event with a people's choice award for the best beer (Lagunitas Shoot-Out). The voting turned out to be more of a popularity contest, but it was a lot of fun.
This would be a cool addition to the raffle prize announcement.
Sound doable? Thoughts?

Hi everyone, justw anted to bump this again. Still need some volunteers for set up, take down and day after clean up. We would also appreciate any raffle items you guys can donate.
Hi everyone, bumping this again to try to entice some of you to please volunteer for the event.
I'm going to add a friend for the late shift bartending. Folks, keep in mind your reliable friends and family can get in free if they join our party volunteer crew. Early evening food service could use some help, and we need late shift bartenders and tear down.
Totally forgot to mention that, Thanks Steven. you can ask your friends and family to volunteer but please note that it has to be two shifts that they volunteer.

Hey guys, I need some help before this party happens - looking for someone to help me make some beer kits.
One of my action items from the offsite was to make all grain beer kits, including bucket and airlock to give away at the party. I need someone to 1. choose a simple all-grain recipe (preferably a beer that someone is pouring at the party) and 2. Go to brew/grow or brew camp to get the ingredients.
Any takers?
Also, I will be FINALLY finishing the planters tonight, anyone who wants to get dirty, come over around 6:30
Matt, I'll make up a kit. Probably best not to do the recipe for the German Pilsner I brewed for the party, not a great beginner beer perhaps. How about a simple American Stout or an APA?
I'll bring it with me when I'm at the brewhouse tomorrow (Thursday) night.

There was talk of using a recipe from a beer being poured. Was chatting with James Faircloth about his wedding crasher... stripping down to a slightly simpler 5 gallon version.
But can call it award winning (Silver at BOSS) and cross market at the pour station...
I can send you the PDF or grab the stuff myself... as you prefer.

Y'all figure out what you want to make. Can be different kits, but I'd like a minimum of 3. You can bring the receipts to me to aggregate and give to Ben or do that yourself. This is not coming out of the party budget, it is coming out of mine personally.
Also, please bag the grain in a plastic bag, not just loose in the bucket :)
Does the club need ice for the party? I can coordinate with rich to pick it up as usual

I was able to secure some free beer tickets from On Tour Brewing for the raffle. They will be available after 3pm today at their brewpub. They will be under Chaos or Todd. I'm not sure if I can get over that way today. Is anyone available to swing by if they are going to Chaos today? It's on Hubbard not far from Chaos.
The owner said ask for Duffy today if you can make it there.
I can grab them. About to head in and help clean/set up or whatever I can tonight since I can't make it tomorrow.
