We're trying something new for this year's BrewBQ. It will be on Saturday, August 12th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. So, here's the plan:
BrewBQ will be a homebrew club beer fest. We've invited area clubs to pour their beer, sell their swag, promote club events, and whatever else they would like to do. The event will be free to the public. We plan to sell tasting glasses and possibly have a small raffle, which will offset the party costs.
We're going to provide the tents, ice, food (it's still BrewBQ after all!), etc. The guest clubs will be responsible for bringing their own serving equipment.
As a club, we will be serving 16 beers for the event. Six for beer school, then ten for our tent. I will post a signup sheet on Wednesday at 8:00 pm.
Here are the links for beer and volunteering:

VOLUNTEER
I'm taking the lead on food, we'll be splitting our budget equally between:
We'll getting some donations from partners like Kaiser Taiger, and as always we will gladfully accept food donations from members and friends who want to help out with the party.
I've added a FOOD tab to the Google Sheet for us to keep everyone on synch
Hey are we going to have a policy for backup kegs just in case we starting kicking stuff?
Sure, it wouldn't hurt to have a few back ups, just in case.
It looks like we've exceeded our ten keg limit, so already have two back ups!
I actually need to retract my beer. Had a surprise trip and it won't be ready by next weekend. Boo me.
Anyone have a free keg open? need to keg my beer for the beer school and two other beers for a family party on the same day and I'm one keg short. Will be able to give back right after the club party
I should, Steve. I get back to town Saturday night and I'll check. Could drop off Monday (can't make the meeting)
That'll work Kyle, let me know when its there please. Thanks
Okay, I adjusted the list so that Nancy and Lior/Steve's beers are part of the line up that will be on the menu and on tap.
Jon, since you already have one for beer school, your gose will be an official back up beer, which I'm fairly certain will be needed before the event is over.
Jon, I misunderstood what was happening with Bill's beer, so we're now back to ten beers, including your gose.
Sounds like you need a gose in reserve. Too bad we already drank it. I wonder if there's anything I can do about that...
No one here at 10.00am???
Thanks to everyone who brewed and volunteered for the party! We all adapted really well to a different party format and made it successful! We had great weather and a great vibe!
The other brew clubs had a blast and want to do it again next year! Hopefully we can get a few more to join us and keep expanding this one.
Despite the party size, we were able to have the brewhouse back to operational status by10:00 pm!
The next party is on November 11th, so we have a decent amount of time to regroup and recharge.
Again, thanks everyone! You guys killed it on Saturday!
Thanks to all the folks who organized it, it was fun. I was happy to help with the set up for this one and I'm going to start planning on a brew for the next one!
Special thanks for all the folks who shopped/prepped/cooked/served the food - it was really outstanding, well done!
