Hey guys,
Jeff and I were talking about the tailgate bash that Baderbrau has for the Sox vs. Cubs game and we thought it be cool to possibly plan a CHAOS outing to see the Sox play and to tailgate before hand. The idea is to brew some beer to serve, grill some food, and have a grand ol'time before going to the stadium to see the game or to walk around to check out the craft beer stalls/Kraft Cave. Before this divulges into a trash talking forum between baseball team allegiances, I just want to emphasize that this would be a pretty awesome thing to do once the summer starts. The tickets are cheap, the parking lot is ample to set up tents, and baseball is much more enjoyable once you're sauced on some home brews. The speicifc game we would attend is up for debate but I wanted guage interest first.
Tickets won't be as cheap but we could look into do it for a crosstown game (6 games this year)
The Cubs will host the White Sox at Wrigley Field May 11-13 of 2018 with the return series coming at Guaranteed Rate Field September 21-23.
But I'm in crosstown or not
Fantastic idea, guys! Any game, I'm in. This is a great excuse for me to brew my world-renowned Mexican Honey Lager! Now if we can just get the 23 kegs out of the lagering fridge ...
I'm interested. I can park for "free" across the street if we need additional transport.
Uh, yeah! Count me in.
I'm down, especially for the September series!
I'm in!
The Crosstown Classic would be awesome! Saturday is mostly sold out with lower level tickets at $90-$105 but the nosebleed seats are $39-$50. However, the Sunday game (9/23) has lower level seats for $79-$90 and nosebleeds $35-$50.The Crosstown classic is probably teh most expensive game of teh season. i looked at other games in August and September and teh ickets for lower level seats are $28.
Do we have any idea when the summer party is? It would be best to have the outing a week or two after the party.
The summer party is Saturday, August 18th.
I don’t personally care enough to pay to see them play the cubs, but I’m down for a regular game.
If the tickets are too expensive I'll just hang out with the leftover homebrew :)
We can come over to my lab and autoclave stuff and use the ultrasonic cleaner. That sounds like just as much fun, right?
Right, guys?
...Guys?
Okay,
I have two suggestion for the games.
Saturday July 28 @ 6:10 p.m. against the Blue Jays:
It's late enough that the sun won't kill us all, tickets for the outfield (lower level) are $20-$25, and they will have fireworks. An added bonus would be that we can promote the summer party as people pass by our sweet set up.
Sunday Sept 2nd @ 1:15 p.m. against the Red Sox (lesser sox):
Early enough to have fun and be home at a decent time unless you are off on Monday (Labor Day). The outfield tickets are $15 and game should be pretty good.
I’d be interested for sure.
This might get me to a Sox game. The Sept 2nd would be my only option, though. So few people go to their games that I think it would be part of our charitable mission to attend. And there's always a chance they may call on you or one of the other 25 fans in attendance to come in as relief in the late innings.
I'm down for the 2nd as well

I'm in. Go Cubs!
I'd love to do this! Count me in
Damn Rich, the hate is strong. Okay, September 2nd it is and I am aiming for everyone to confirm and send money by June 14th. As far as the price, I will email a Sox rep to see what the group rate is. .
Hope Chaos doesn't have the fantasy football draft that day!
At the very least we'll be able to see the Red Sox play. And right now they're killing it!
If I can do a fantasy draft while tailgating at Jimmy Buffett, we can do one while tailgating at a Sox game. (Says the guy who came in 10th place that year.)
Im in and will for sure schedule the draft while we are there :)
CRAAAAP,
I messed up, Sept 1st-2nd I will be at a wedding because life refuses to let me have fun. Sorry guys but I have to take a vote again. Below are the dates with the best prices ($20) and are all on Saturday except against the Red Sox.
Saturday July 28th @ 6:10 p.m. vs. Blue Jays.
Saturday August 11th @ 6:10 pm vs. Cleveland Indians
Friday August 31st @ 7:10 p.m. vs. Boston Red Sox
Saturday September 8 @ 6:10 p.m. vs. The Angels
Im good all but 11th camping trip that weekend also at wolf river if anyone is interested
As far as I can tell, these all work for me.
I vote for the Sept. 8th game

Anything but July 28th works for me. There must be a TON of weddings on the south side. Saw they had 974 people show up to a game a couple weeks ago. Cubs games generally have that many in any one bathroom between innings I think. Sept 8th looks good.
Americo, What's the decision? let's get this on the books!
I would like to switch it to September 8th against the Angels.
I’m good for the 8th what are we going to try and do all buy tix in same section before hand?
If we can get 10 people, we can get a group rate for tickets and sit in the same section. The tickets would b sent to each person individual email address. I wanted to also have a tailgate in the parking lot to represent CHAOS. Have a 2-3 5 gallon kegs, set up a grill, and set up a text with the CHAOS sign.
The 8th should work for me!
the 8th works for me

Sept 8th WFM too
I'll be a last minute addition, if it works, so go ahead without me. This would be a great first baseball game for Sammy
I’m in!!!
Still good on the 8th. Hopefully the Angels won't like, show up and field a team. I can bring some beer too.
Sweet, thats about 8 so far. If you guys wish to invite other people, I don't see a problem with it but teh final head count will be July 13th. In the mean time I will reach out to the Sox ticket center.
I'm in.
I’m in too if there’s still room

Hey guys,
I got 12 tcikets for the Sox game. They had a promo going on for their new ticket system and the grand total came out to $39.40 each ticket. It is higher than the $20-$25 I had estimated but our tickets are lower level left field, we also part of the "pre-game beer crawl" inside the stadium from 2:30-4:40, we get a "Sox Crawl" t-shirt, and participate in group games. The link has more information: https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/tickets/specials/sox-crawl
In addition, additional CHAOS members or non-members want to go to the game, use the link below and purchase section 156 tickets. If you buy the tickets using the link, they should group us all together. Our group name is "C.H.A.O.S. brew Club".

Forgot to add, you can send the $39.50 via paypal, venmo, google pay, and chase pay by using my email address: americoochoa@gmail.com. Below is a list of people that had first expressed interest in the 12 tickets.
