Best way to find a CO2 Leak

Hey guys so I bought a 10 lb CO2 tank and only got 4 kegs carbed off of it. Clearly something went amiss here. The regulator read the correct amt when I bought it, so I wasnt ripped off by the homebrew shop. Either one of my kegs or my regulator or something in between is leaking.

Any tips and tricks on best way to find the leak? Just slowly eliminate variables until it's found? Spray star san everywhere and see if it bubbles?

I think the best way would be

I think the best way would be to apply some soapy water. Bubbles will form in the area containing the leak.

OK. Homebrew shop guy sold me

OK. Homebrew shop guy sold me on some keg lube too. I think one of my kegs is the culprit.

A lot of people don’t do this

A lot of people don’t do this ... but I find that wrapping my tank’s outlet threads in Teflon tape helps my tank last longer. Also make sure you didn’t forget the flat washer that goes between your tank and regulator.

I do have some tape laying

I do have some tape laying around from my mash tun build, that's a good idea. RE the flat washer, the Taprite regulator I have has a sticker that says not to use the washer, but maybe I should put it on there anyway?

You need a washer or gasket.

You need a washer or gasket.

I have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Leak-Stopper-Permanent-Ring-Cylinders/dp/B018UNZL...

Just remember to take it out when you get your tank filled/swapped.
