2019 Midwest Regional Competition Schedule

I was at the brewhouse yesterday and had a chance to chat with a couple of members about Competitions and how we recently did at Square Kegs Winter Brew.

CHAOS showed really well…  I think we came away with maybe 9 medals, amazing!

For those of you new to comps there are standalone home brew comps and competitions that are part of a 12 month circuit. They tally points to send to the Midwest Home Brewer of the Year Competition and at year end a top brewer is named. Some other midwest comps participate in the Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing.  This becomes a style invitational to anyone who places 1st in a category.  The MCAB invitational is then held the following summer and its the best vs the best in category from across the nation.

In April we usually have the AHA National Homebrew Regional qualifier.

I’ve heard from CHAOS Brewers that they would have submitted a beer if they had more advanced notice on up coming comps.  SO… I have created the comp calendar below and which circuit that comp is affiliated with.
