Membership Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Maintains records and data of members (including but not limited to membership levels and the start/end dates for members’ annual membership); sending welcome letters to new members as well as renewal notices to current members; although this person may not enter into agreements, contracts, etc. one duty of the Membership Officer will be outreach, contacting new members and new partnering organizations.
Note: Any posts that are not a nomination (this includes discussion about candidates) will be deleted without mercy.
I haven't chimed in on this one, not because I no longer wish to do Membership but to give others a chance to nominate themselvesor others. But, seeing as it has scrolled off the main page without seeing any action, I will indeed go ahead and nominate myself.
I really enjoy meeting and helping out our members; I really have fun checking out craft beer places around the city - both new and old - and making connections and inroads for the club; and, I find it really rewarding to see people get excited about homebrewing in general and CHAOS specifically, as well as to see genuine collaboration and interaction between CHAOS/homebrewers and the craft beer pros in Chicago (both brewers and purveyors). and, in the most basic responsibilities of the role, I'm organized and responsive when it comes to mailing membership materials and responding to queries from members and the general public.
