As another year comes to a close and the holiday season is upon us we give thanks. Specifically, we are thankful for all of you, the members that make CHAOS what we are. We've accomplished a lot so far this year and have a lot of cool stuff ahead of us.
In keeping with tradition, we will have a CHAOS Christmas party and bottle share on Saturday, December 2 at 6 :30 PM. We'll have a potluck for food and members can bring something out of their stashes to share with the group.
It's not all about us, we will also be giving back as we have in years past. This year we will be donating to several emergency housing programs, and they need socks (not synthetic materials, just wool or cotton) and toiletries. People coming off the street lack much of this stuff and the need is great. So we're going to be collecting as much as we can to make people feel some comforts of home again. New unopened packages, shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, pads, tampons, soap, and razors are all needed.
We're also holding a Secret Santa for everyone to gift beer or beer related items.
You don't have to attend the party to participate in the charity donations and Secret Santa gift exchange.

Chuck plans to save the left over oil from this past weekend's party and will reuse it to fry turkeys for the holiday party. I've approved the purchase of two turkeys for this.
Let's all start filling out the potluck spread sheet so we have enough time to plan what food to bring. On a similar note, the cutoff date for Secret Santa will be Thursday, November 30th.
Definitely looking forward to the bottle share!!
For the love of god, no more turkey
I'll do pulled pork tacos if need be.
Haha! Good point!! Between Freindsgiving and Thanksgiving, we'll all be over served with turkey by the end of this week!!
Just a reminder to submit your Secret Santa signup this week. I plan to let everyone know who they'll be buying a gift for on Thursday.
Last call for Secret Santa!! I've started sending out the gift lists and will finish tomorrow morning, so there's still time to participate.
Another awesome holiday party in the books! We had a great turnout and a decent number of new faces who will hopefully be seen around the brewhouse on a regular basis. As always, the food was amazing and turkey grease was used for tortilla chips, Tostino's pizza rolls (Chuck), and fried raviloli. Thanks to Matt and Reed for making yummy stuff onsite and everyone else for bringing yummy stuff.
As we did last year, we brought in a lot of donations for women's shelters on the city's southside. (You guys are great!!)
And, of course, a lot of delicious beer was consumed and exchanged in the Secret Santa.
Joe Rusewald made a quick whalez hunting video of the beer we put to rest last night:

I love how Chuck is just drinking the PBR in the background.
