In another effort to make CHAOS world fucking famous, I'm going to start sending out press releases for our seasonal events and other big news, beginning with one next week on the subject of Cerveza de Mayo, our third anniversary as a club, and a few other upcoming news points.
- I'd love to get the club's input on the content of what we're sending out. Below is what I have so far. I'm certain to be forgetting something noteworthy, so please tell me about it below so I can add to the text, or let me know if you see anything that should be changed.
- I also need your help assembling a list of media and "beer world" contacts - brewers, bloggers, retailers, bar people, our featured partners, anyone that should know about what we're up to who isn't getting the club's internal newsletter. Lucas and I are discussing a more permanent home for this information, but in the meantime, here's a Google form where you can add to the list I'm assembling.
I'm planning to send out this release first thing Monday, April 14. Please give any input on it's content, and your contributions to the List by Sunday at 6pm.

CHAOS Brew Club marks third anniversary, to hold third annual Cerveza de Mayo on May 3.
CHAOS Brew Club will hold its third annual "Cerveza de Mayo" membership appreciation event on May 3, 2014. The club recently celebrated its third anniversary on April 7, 2014.
CHAOS, the Chicago Homebrew Alchemists of Sud, is a group dedicated to the education of all things craft beer, from brewing to appreciating. Formed in April 2011 in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, CHAOS has grown in three years into one of the most unique brew clubs in the country, offering its members a dedicated brew house, educational programming and members-only club events.
Cerveza de Mayo III is one of CHAOS Brew Club's seasonal membership appreciation events, where members share and sample a variety their own homebrew. This will be the first installment of Cerveza de Mayo to take place at CHAOS's new brew house at 2417 W Hubbard St. CHAOS membership appreciation events are members-only and free for paying members of the club; new members can join the club at chaosbrewclub.net/membership.
More than 20 varieties of homebrewed beer will be served at Cerveza de Mayo, including IPAs, witbiers and lagers, and some flavored with serrano peppers, smoked Thai chilis, bourbon soaked Mission figs or electrolyte salts. The menu will also feature the first installment of Hop School, serving four identical IPAs brewed with contrasting single hops and part of a new ongoing educational series at CHAOS's seasonal events.
In June, CHAOS will send a contingent to the American Homebrewers Association conference in Grand Rapid, MI, including new Club President Ken Getty and new Vice President Chuck Mac.
CHAOS will hold its next membership appreciation event in July, and will be announcing new events and collaborations very soon.

I think it's fourth anniversary, actually, based on what David and Iggi were saying at the meeting Sunday.
CHAOS started in April 2011 (if I recally correctly); so, this month marks 3 years not 4.
