There is a zero tolerance policy in the brew house as it relates to trash & empty bottles at the brew house. (Clean bottles in storage do not apply to this policy).
Yesterday when I was at the brew house there was a fruit fly infestation and it was very easily traced to the blue bin of empty bottles from Saturday night. On top of the bottles, there were three trash bins that had garbage and liquid in them without trash bags that also had swarms of fruit flies in them.
ALL TRASH AND EMPTY BOTTLES NEED TO BE DISCARDED IN THE RED DUMPSTER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE BREW HOUSE!
Please be vigilant each time you enter the brew house and make sure that all standing water is removed.

A couple of brew days ago, I had the same thing - someone had not taken out the garbage from the day before and fruit flies were swarming.
