We'll be meeting at an as of yet undisclosed location (I want it to be a bar) to drink beers and talk about our respective recipes for this first blending project. We'll also be talking about barrels and wood in general, maintenance, timing, etc... We'll all make some general suggestions to one another about when something should be brewed/wooded, etc...
Bring a print-out or write-up of your recipe for everyone to check out. Multiple copies for the group would be a bonus but don't worry if you don't want to. Bring at least one extra copy for the program notebook. I want to be keeping records. If you want to keep your own notebook, bring that too.
If you're brewing a big gravity beer like a quad, russian imperial stout, barleywine, old ale, then by this meeting your beer should be brewed and fermenting, ideally it should have already been fermenting a couple of weeks. Aim to have it done by August 15th.
