I wanted to thank Josh Smith our Master of Barrels for all of the work that he has put in on our barrel program. Josh's leadership in this area of our club has been top-notch and there is no way that our barrel program would have come so far and so quick at our new brew space without his participation.
Most of the barrel projects are akin to herding cats, as he is always trying to lock down recipes, ingredients, brewers, brew days, etc. It has been a pleasure working with Josh as he is always taking away lessons from each project and looking to improve the quality and experience for those who participate in future barrels. On top of all of the work for current projects, he is constantly doing his best to create relationships to source the freshest and highest quality barrels for future projects.
Thank you Josh for all of your time, energy and dedication to CHAOS and our Barrelworks program.
I heartily second this. I can barely keep up with all the barrels I have brewed for, which is really great problem to have, eventually. Thanks Josh!
I third this. I kept missing the sign ups and kept pestering Josh to get in on one and he never forgot about me. With the different timelines to fill the barrels and all of our random schedules, it's amazing these barrels get filled at all. Thanks Josh!
Agreed, well done, sir, well done. And he gives back to the club a majority of his own batches. Including five gallons of the Scotch ale for Harvest Fest.
Thanks everyone im only as good as the people who help and participate. Keep up the level we all have come to expect and get ready for new exciting things in the future.
