I need to add another keg to my arsenal and figured I'd check if anyone had an extra they were thinking of selling, before I go to Brew & Grow. If you want to make some quick cash, let me know :-)

Anyone want to sell a keg?
Same here after brock
same here after those two...

Looks like someone needs to locate that guy who sells them on craigslist and organize another group buy!

The emperor is not as forgiving as i am
I should have specified, I'm interested in ball lock kegs. I've been watching craigslist ~daily for the last few months and surprusingly nothing has really popped up around here. One or two at a time in Rockford or Bloomington or Indiana, but not at a price/quantity that would make the drive worth it.
I think last time we did a group buy on CL it was a guy selling off his personal stock (or maybe he ordered a pallet himself)...

That's a good deal, James/Boolish. To add to people's comfort with buying these online, I'm friends with Keith who runs homebrewsupply.com, he also has a bricks-and-mortar store in Texas. We didn't meet through his store, our friendship is in another context. He's a great guy and very trustworthy.

I bought 4 from this http://mceverdistrib.com/beer-kegs/5-gal-ball-lock-kegs/
They are great prices. Infact Im going to be buying more soon !
I'm starting to think we can play 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, but with Jim V. instead!
h00pz: I found a link to that site in the forums here, but it looks like they no longer have kegs in stock.
The four-pack on homebrewsupply.com would be $222.37 with shipping, or $56/keg. That's a bit cheaper than Brew & Grow (their website says $70, but I thought they were a big cheaper when I was in there last).
Anybody want to pool our resources and order 4?
i'm hitting up my contact @ McEvers to see if they have any left in stock because I bought 4 for $170 including shipping. And I need more myself :)
Got this from McEvers
We are running extremely low on Ball Locks but we do offer a low profile ball lock with dims of 9”x22” that come with new posts, o-rings, and relief valve lid. These normally sell for $49.99 but I can get them to you for $45 each if interested.
Contact is Fred McEver, sales@mceverdistrib.com
I'm ordering 4 for myself and I know his shipping boxes fit 4 kegs nicely.
I got hammered with Jamil in a wizard's robe at NHC club night last year. Guess that gives him a Vondercek score of 2.

I don't have any interest in the "low profile" ones. They're too fat to fit in my mini fridge (they're basically pin lock dimensions, whether or not they're acutally converted pin locks). Sounds like McEvers isn't out of standard ball locks, just "running low"

Just received this 4/199 shipping, gaskets included...

Ooh even better! I could go halfsies on one of those. Matt, you want two kegs for $100?
First dibbs to Josh S who posted here first, but otherwise I'm interested. They make no guarantees on the morebeer page that they'll hold pressure, oh well.

I was only planning on getting one to begin with, but could use two; either way, I'm sure the three of us can find a way to make use of four kegs one way or another!
count me in for one
Yeah ill take one. Who wants to place the order

Eh, with kegs best practice is generally to replace all the soft parts anyway. You can guy a complete set of rubber parts at brew and grow for like $5.
The MoreBeer four-pack also comes with four sets of O-rings, so you can immediately replace them if it's not holding pressure.
I just placed the order; they predicted delivery for next Saturday, so I should be able to drop them at the brewhouse next weekend if they get here on time. The four are claimed by:

done, thanks for ordering!

I got confirmation emails on both of those, thanks fellas!
My finder's fee is a growler from your first kegged batch.
I looked at Corny Keg Depot after I saw this thread just to see what his stocks are like, he is saying that the "domestically sourced keg situation is dire"...He's very much against the imported ones because they aparently like to put various fuels in them overseas...
