Last weekend i met some folks that work at an old soda machine supply and repair company. they are right around the corner from the new brew house on Oakley. apparently, they have a cache of of kegs, about 100 or so. they have been selling them every once in a while. their last customer was a pesticide company that used them for spraying chemicals. what a waste. anyway - is there interest in them? should i reach out to them again? they said they were selling them to the pesticide guy for $25 each. im not sure we will get that price as well, but it sounds like it. yeah, no?

Do it! Last order we got from Gio was limited to 12 total & was $35 or $40 each if I remember correctly.
YES!
The emperor is not as forgiving as i am
Yeah, you cant beat $25 anymore
Do it!!! I will take a few at that price.
Gimme!
Yep
Hells yes.
Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
I'll take a couple as well

Count me in for 2
I'd say we take the lot, I can store them and the club can sell them for 35 a piece at a little profit. They are just going to get more and more rare.
I agree with Mark. I think we can do CHAOS members and other local homebrewers a service while earning a little bit of money for the club if we take the whole lot.
Iggy, can you ask him for a price on the total lot, or would you like one of us to reach out?
Let me know. even if you raise it up a bit to make a profit i would be in for 3. As long as they are pepsi kegs. I need the tall and skinny ones.
Oooh, Josh makes a good point. We would definitely need to make sure they're ball-lock before taking on 100 or so. Those we could sell easily. Not so much pin-lock.
If I can get in on a few I'dbe up for 8-10, ball lock, holding pressure. The seals are pretty cheap to replace.
dude i spoke with never got back to me so i called the shop directly and spoke with the proprietor himself, gentleman by the name of Phil. he said "yeah, we had hundreds sitting around, no one knew what to do with them". apparently he sent a container full of them overseas a little while back and sold a few hudred to that chemical company. anyway, he says he has "a dozen or two left". he will get back to me shortly.
...igz...
anyways, this is the company. they have other parts and shit that may interest the club.

We need to buy all they have even if they are not ball locks.
Cornies are getting harder to find these days and breaks my heart to hear that a bunch went overseas and went to a chemical company...
I would be up for one.
