Hi CHAOS,
Time to build the hype for our summer Brew BQ. I am totally stoaked about this event, it is going to be awesome.
The volunteer list is very sparse right now, we need everyone's help to make this happen. Please sign up soon! And remember if you make a beer for the event and sign up for setup or take down and two event shifts you can get your +1 in for free.
Conrad has agreed to do the facebook and twitter PR for the event. If you have any specific request for what to post send it his way. Conrad, can you also start posing about Buckeldown brewing coming to the monthly meeting?
BEER!!!! We need more of it. I believe our planned attendance is 250 with a cap of 300 persons. If we follow our .5 gallons per person ratio we are going to need 150 gallons. We currently have 100 pledged. I dont think we can realistically expect to get 50 more gallons of homebrew, so I think we should reach out to our micro brew friends, see if we can get a couple kegs donated (or bought cheap). If you get something post it in the beer list. If they want to be at the event to pour that is cool too.
Speaking of pouring, I have no idea how we are going to tap all this beer. We only have 4 lines of jockey box and 6 of keezer. We are going to need like 30 lines.
Send any questions to Jamie Proctor and Steven Lane and lets have a blast!
James, can you email me offline (or on), the detailed regarding Buckledown. Im starting the campaign tonight with posts regarding good BBQ and good Beer. Steven and I connected and I'll be working on some additional assets for the Brew BQ & I'll put a plan in place for the PR.
I would like to release the beers that are featured and the brewer profiles on FB & Twitter like we did last time. I think that was a great idea. If we have previous contributors to other CHAOS events, i think it would be worth tying them together as far as "They have previously brewed...".
If you have a completed Beer that is 1000% going to be there for the Brew-BQ then please send me a Message with details of your brew, a pic of yourself if you want, and if you have brewed anything for a CHAOS event in the past.
As we get closer and have the finai, final list ready to be unveiled I like how it has been partially released in the past with groups at a time. If we can do both together I think it will be awesome. Also check out the Bottled or Kegged column. I only see 13 lines currently needed.

Talk to Ken and Pete about Buckeldown, all I know is they are coming.
Good ideas, lets get hyped!
Not sure if this is the right channel, but...
Speaking of building up the hype, there might be a friendly audience here:

We could do worse than to have a truckload of party pluggers to distribute to people who demonstrably will go to a beer event. With the new mobile site, they may just register immediately. Evidently, there's parade registration, which ostensibly involves free license to bike around the big ass route with any sort of advertisement you want... or an opportunity to commission someone to do said.
James: could you send an email to the BJCP list since a few of the folks on it aren't CHAOS members but would probably drink homebrew, especially if we told them about the donated beer and the opportunity to interact directly with the brewers? I don't know if you mentioned it at the class because I was pretty out of it, but there's also the potential to reach people who have dropped from the class this way.
Are you going to the Tour? Adam thought of this too and we are looking for someone to hand out some flyers.
Ill hit up the class list, but most the SQ folks have their Square Roots festivel.
I'm going there for the Reggie Watts set for sure. I'll go earlier if I have flyers.
We have 14 tappers, including the keezer, for Saturday. So, anyone who has a tapper for their keg, please bring it to ensure we have enough on hand. Thanks!
I'll be taking a cab from Palmer Square to the brew house to help setup at noon if any fellow logan/Palmer squarers want to hop in that cab with me, you are more than welcome.
I have 2 taps I can bring. Do we need spare gas tanks?
All taps and gas tanks would be very welcome.
Thanks chuck
i will be at tour de fat if we have media to share. i have a 5# tank if needed but needs to be filled
