Hey folks I just took a look at our google docs for food and we sorley need people to step up in the food area.
I am looking for folks to help with the carne asada, pork and rice.
I am looking for recomendations for tamelas or someone who can make them themselves.
Finally we need folks to step up for the gaucamole.
The google doc is in our Cerveza thread under food sign up.
Thanks!
There are still a lot of volunteer vacancies, too. Here are the beer, volunteer, and food Google docs.

I'll smoke some meat for this event too! ...
*Giggle* *giggle*
Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
I just signed up for a couple volunteer positions as well as an additional beer.
But, seeing as I took off entirely for Stout Night, I'm fully available anywhere and anywhen you guys need me; I'll be there the entire time.
All right folks we got the food, except for guacamole. WE can always use more guacamole!
We need food servers!
Hey new members step up and help your club!
Hey Foodies,
I need to get working on the menu, and I need some descriptions on how we're dressing up our meat. Please let me know the style of preperation, seasonings used, and extra points if you have a clever name.
BTW, I have a stout we can use as a marinade (smoked chili, cinnamon, cacao, and coffee). I will be making a mole sauce with it also.
Taco - Carna AsadaLucas
Taco - PorkMark

Taco - VeganIggy
I don't know how much food we have bought, but we should keep in mind we only have a hundred potential guests at the moment. I would assume we will see that raise, but I doubt we go over 150.
I'm going to coordinate with chuck tomorrow evening about food based on how many Trials we have at that point.
Other than the spreadsheet are there assigned areas yet or final prep/event sheets on what needs to get done. Prep & cleanup is all set prior to 4pm for what I see but I can also be there if additional hands are needed.
Conrad
If it is possible to hold off on buying food till Thu/Fri, we should have an easier time estimating. I'd like to think we could see a surprise surge this week. Also, we need to figure comped people on the head count.
Let me know how you want to handel getting ingredients for the Guac. I was going to make a lot. If you let me know when you are going I can give you an ingredient list.
That's not possible for the rice/tamales, Steven. The guy needs to know amount and get paid on Wednesday.

Steven, do we need anyone to pickup and dropoff anything? I'd be more =
than willing to shuttle things in the morning/afternoon if needed.
Conrad
I'm also going to be smoking at least some of the meat and will need a bit more lead time that Friday evening. Now if we want to go the no-smoke route that's fine.

hey Conrad, yeah, we'll need help on site, and I'm sure there will be an errand or two. We'll also need help the night before. I'll post a detailed task list and timetable by midweek.

Friday might be hard Steven, but I have all day Saturday committed to =
this event. Also, I'll throw this out there for the 10th time.... I have =
an extra grill and smoker sitting in my storage locker doing nothing but =
weeping tears since it doesn't have an opportunity to cook meat. If we =
need additional grilling (propane STOK grill) or smoking (18" weber =
bullet) I have no problem hauling those to the brew house for us to use =
that night.

If we need more food, let me know by Wed. I can make a vat of chicken mole for varaiety.
hey Gustavo,
We don't need two types of chicken, so we were hoping you could prepare the chicken we buy with your mole recipe.
Are you available to cook at the brewhouse Thu or Fri night?
What's this about rice? I'm doing a full size catering pan of rice. Should I not do that?

Mark, the Tamale guy tried to upsell us with the rice. Today we decided it was silly to pay for cooked rice, so please continue with your plan.
I am picking up the meat on Thursday at Cermac Market.
I can get it seasoned or not. Mark and Gustavo let me know if ya want it seasoned or not.
Chuck - I already bought 10 lbs of pork sholder. So 1. Not seasoned, I'm going to do that. 2. Don't buy any pork, because I already did.
Food cost so far;
Tamales-$179.00
Meat-$90.00
Misc-$50.00
Total Cost-$319.00
Last I heard was that we have 15 trail members...
We have 17 trials. So about $400 so far. But, please, don't worry about it too much. I saw a guy at the brewhouse who said he was bringing 10 friends; I know for 100% certain that three of my friends are coming so that's another $75 right there. We'll see an uptick later this week, I'm sure.
Let's focus on getting the word out about the event and enticing people to sign up.
Steve, I wont be able to cook thursday because we are botteling for the event and friday Im preping for the salsa and mole. I will make the mole early the day of the event at my place - its easier for rme that way.
Chuck- if you can pick unseasoned chicken I can swing by on friday to pick it up while Im running my erands for the event.
Thanks
Hey Gustavo, it's cool to cook offsite, just thought it would be easier to have everything at the BH. Considering chicken needs a little help, we really want a mole chicken.
Mark, let me know how you are preparing the pork.
Lucas, looks like you get the steak.
It would be cool if we could incorporate beer in the food prep. Again, I have a big heavy stout spiced with smoked chili, shit has serious heat to it.
The pork is going to be similar to the interclub social pork - smoked and slow cooked, but spicier than that event. I'll take any beer that's offered up to cook with, your smoked chili stout would work. I'd need a growler lor less, not a ton.
Awesome, I will leave some bombers of spicy stout in the BH fridge with labels tonight.
Can someone please plot the full details in the event page?
http://www.chaosbrewclub.net/event/cerveza-de-mayo
working on it tonight, we'll be in good shape tomorrow when I release the full beer menu.
