All club members are welcome to submit their best beers for the event. CHAOS is partnering with an emerging brewpub being built right now. Summer Brew-BQ looks to be your first chance to be selected by a brewmaster to take your recipe to a real brewery and have it served on tap downtown. Time to bring your A-game brewsters!

For this Summer's Member Appreciation party, we are teaming up with the grill-master behind Burnin' BBQ, a pop-up barbeque coop that is a side gig for the local sludge rock band Rabbid Rabbit. We are stoked to be pairing CHAOS homebrews with the Best Barbecued Brisket in Chicago (Reader, Best of Chicago 2012.)

Hey Folks, it's crunch time, and with our upcoming move, we need to make this Saturday's party a win.
Critical Needs:
1. GET EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO SIGN UP AS A TRIAL MEMBER AND JOIN US SATURDAY 4-11pm.
2. Credit card swipe device for last minute Trial Membership sign ups.
3. Crack crew of early volunteers to make sure all beer is carbed and chilled, and that all our taps and lines are cleaned and ready to serve over 20 beers (1-4pm).
4. We should have some pulled pork as a back up if the brisket runs out. I will be making vegan sloppy joes. We need BUNS! And side dishes!!!
We'll have two soundsystems. The brewhouse will be blasting a Metal Requiem, and we'll have a Dancy Mixtape thing happening outside (I may have a free DJ.)

Is someone picking up a pallet of ice? We are going to need a lot of it to keep te beers in kegs and bottles cold.
I think we may have enough firewood left from last time.
Do we want a few of Ken's tents to keeps some areas shaded? Ken are they available?

Iggi's girlfriend Lindsay offered to be bar manager coordinating volunteers throughout the night.
We are willing to comp a few people if they bartend from 8-11pm.

We currently have 113 members that could show up, but that would be more like 85 with a few no shows (comped guests would bring us up to 100 (press, partners, etc.).
Right now there are 21 Trial Memberships. I'm hoping for another 50-75 trial sign ups, which could bring us to an attendance total of 120 - 175. We could get a last minute rush and see 180-200, but there is so much going on Saturday.
We estimated the yards capacity at 250 people.
Are we pushing for more people? I can start tweeting it up. Especially if we get some guest brewers involved.
Is anyone from CHAOS participating in Tour de Fat? I feel like there's a pretty high potential overlap in interest between that and the BrewBQ that a properly placed person could exploit.

Adam, good idea about Tour de Fat, but to really capitilize on that we need someone there flyer'ing before they shut down.

I can get tents...but please let me know ASAP. I might to need borrow a SUV-esc type vehicle and/or pick-up since it is getting so late. Normally it takes me three trips in my Jetta to bring 5 tents. Let me know if and how many tents you need.

Hey Ken, we should be fine with the same tent configuration we had for Cerveza, so if you didn't bring extra tents then, don't bother for Saturday (unless we know rain is coming.)
No rain, it's supposed to be perfect! I believe we only used the brew house tent in May.
I stand corrected, we also used two in the yard towards Grand and one at the alley yard entrance.
Please double check your beers and do a final edit...Steven Lane is going to design the day of info sheet tonight an we would like it to be as spot on as possible. Thanks!

I spoke with the owner of West Town Bikes, and he is cool with us flyering and promoting our event as a Tour de Fat afterparty, just as long as we show some discretion and don't litter the park with our flyers.

We may need a more sophisticated strategy for letting people in than just printing off the member list sometime before 4pm if I'm going to be papering the tour. It's very possible that people will sign up around the time they walk up to the gate, mobile web being as awesome as it is. Thoughts?
Good point Will. Our Member List is electronic, why do we stop at 4pm for a paper list?
I guess a snag is if the sign up has a delay, meaning I just signed up and paid, but I'm not on the electronic member list yet.

Hi Steve, I think my cider is missing from the menu....
If you sign up you will appear on the digital list immediately. Long term we should look at doing a card swipe for people but if you have an ipad or phone it'll be fine. Jim, Steven, Conrad, Lagerdan, and I also all get emails immediately when people signup, so that also usually helps.

Regarding late signups and membership lists, etc., now that the law explicitly allows for the private (i.e. members only) sharing of homebrew, I was thinking it would be a good idea to post something like this notice at the entry to the party. Steven, I'm sure you're swamped, but you can feel free to modify the look of the text to better match our aesthetic if you'd like.

Steven, here is the info for The Hammer. I'm not sure if you're putting the descriptions or just the names of the commercial brewers on the page. We'll be getting a case of it (12 bombers or 24 twelves).
Aleman Brewing: Chicago brewers in the process of opening their own space who have collaborated with Stone, O'So, & Begyle. An imperial blonde that was lightly dry-hopped and aged on white cedar.
Steven - I updated my beer info. Feel free to have some fun with the ABV, IBU, and description of the "Uninspired Something." The tag got lost in the ferm room rebuild and I have no idea what it is, but its tasty!

Lucas, I've had good luck finishing smoked pulled pork in the oven at 300 or so. It gets most of the smoke flavor from the first 2-4 hours anyway.
I totally flaked taking inventory on plastic untensils, napkins, and plates last night. I know we have a lot, but probably not enough for tomorrow's party. Can someone on tonight's clean-up crew take and inventory, then post on here.
Jim said the club has enough money to cover buns for the sandwiches, plates etc. We just need a volunteer with a car and, preferably, a Costco card to pick everything up tomorrow. (I have niether, otherwise I would do it.)
Updated beer list, Twitter should be linked to FB & back and forth the other way too. I'll double check to make sure the tweets get out. I have 10 posts scheduled between now and tomorrow. We have Aleman confirmed, but what about the others like Spiteful & Begyile? Are those 1000% confirmed? Would love to post about that.

I'll be at the brewhouse a little ealry (11ish maybe earlier) for setup/cleanup. Steven, do you want to do the setup like we had for Cerveza? I can move some things around in prep. I don't know how far things got with setup last night.
Also, I did the ICE run last time, I know we'll need it so if we have a list of things around noon, I can run out and get what we need as I know we'll have to ice down some kegs and a lot of bottles.
Jamie, I don't have a truck, but what needs to be transported? I have a 4 door sedan with lots of trunk space.

Nothing is set up, but we have most of the crap put away, and the stuff we need is laid out.
