Join CHAOS at Lagunitas for a conversation with Mary Bauer, head brewer of Lagunitas’ Chicago brewery. This will be an informal conversation, about her experience in building the Chicago brewery, getting it up and running, its recent expansion after only a year, and what’s up next.
This gathering is limited to 25 people, due to the size of the room. If there is enough interest, we could schedule a larger gathering in the future, in their ‘basement’ area that they use for events, like the AHA gatherings they’ve hosted.
After our conversation with Mary, anyone who wants to stay can move to the Tap Room and order more beers and have dinner.
When: Thursday January 14, 2016, 6:00 pm
Where: Lagunitas Brewery, 1843 S Washtenaw Ave, Chicago
Bring Beer?: Yes! It would be great to share some really good handmade beers
with Mary and the other Lagunitas staff with us! Represent!
Cost: None. Buy your own dinner in the taproom if you wish.
RSVP: Required. Please sign up at this Google doc https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZMSC2DPss4d7TLCphfpt3UpIyU-U-RqPs1oixwXouBo/edit?usp=sharing

This is awesome! Thank you for setting this up, Jim!
That Lagunitas brewery over there is like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory for beer. If only I had the golden ticket..
Hi All - An update on this, my new BFF Jake at Lagunitas told me that we can meet in The Basement, the big area on the brewery's main floor that is set up like a Rec Room. That means we no longer have a limit of 25 attendees! So if your spouse, partner, significant other, or the person you hang with wants to join you, there's now room! Or if you didn't sign up the first time, you still can!

I'm in if anyone cancels (or they allow more!).
Matt, they moved us to the big room, no more restrictions on how many. Follow the link and sign up!
Edit: Actually, you had already signed up, earlier.

Bah, actually cant go.
Joined and bringing the mrs.
Is this going to be more of a homebrew share or a bottleshare during the talk?
Please don't bring other commercial, non-Lagunitas beers to their brewery. Sharing homebrews would be great, especially with the Lagunitas' staff.
Glad you and Sara will be joining us, Joe!

Hey Jim,
Just confirming the event at Lagunitas on Thursday Jan. 14 is only 1 hour... is that correct? It's on our calendar from 6-7pm. I just wanted to clarify because I just heard back from Jen at Goose Island and the GI Homebrew club on Fulton is that same night starting at 8pm, I was hoping to make both events... Looks like that's going to be a busy night!
Thanks, Nanc
Nancy, our conversation with Mary will be for the hour, starting at 6 pm. I promised her she could leave by 7 pm. There will also be tours available and anyone who wants to stay afterwards will be welcome to join us at the taproom for more beer and dinner. But the program piece will end by 7 pm, so you should be able to make both.

Sweet! It's going to be a busy day, but I'm glad I'll be able to make both events!
Thanks for the clarification Jim!
I'll be racing both as well.
But I wonder if I will have beer to bring. If I pull bombers off a tap, will they last for 1 week?
Just a reminder that tonight's the night! See you all there!
