Could we use a "grain silo" or a cylindrical container?

I know someone who is trying to get rid of 5 food safe, thick plastic fermenters (for free).

These were meant for wine & were being used for other purposes & there's two 2" holes in each of them. They can be plugged but it would leak with liquids. I was thinking it might be useful for dry storage?

I know the club was thinking about having some ingredients on sight. This might be a good solution for storing a whole boatloat of 2 row or something similar.

This is just a thought. They need to get rid of these this week so I figured I'd throw it out there to see what you guys think. They're pretty large (110 gallon capacity, 4'8" tall x 2'4" wide). We'd also have to build a stand for them.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'm super anxious to get into

I'm super anxious to get into group buys and storing grain, but the holes in those containers look like a big headstart for rats.
