Ben, Jon, Mike and I worked on the education and grain sales room upstairs last night. We moved the grain sales stuff around a little bit, to make it a little more convenient we hope. I will be bringing an extension cord this (Friday) afternoon so we can plug in the scale in the new configuration.
We also moved things around a little bit - the tables and chairs for classes, workshops and competitions are stacked up against the wall. The bookshelf got moved so it is against the main wall, so that it is more visible. The brewing library that Matt put together is living there now and there are also club tshirts and brew shirts for sale. See Ben about those if you are interested in buying one or five.
The bathroom and the mini kitchen area got a good scrubbing and bleaching.
Please don't just leave stuff sitting around up there. Throw out your garbage, wash your glasses, put your bottles away, wipe off the counters and sink, etc.
The upstairs looks amazing! Jim and the upstairs clean up crew worked really hard last night to get the area organized and clean. I invite everyone to go up and take a look, because we will be keeping it in the exact same state.
So, as Jim stated in his posts, please do not leave stuff laying about. Anything out of place will be disposed of or re-purposed for the club.
Quite a bit of party stuff that goes in the club storage room was left in the education/grain sales room. Some of us moved them. The ugly/dirty black shelves with nothing on them also reappeared, if anyone wants them, or has a purpose for them at the brewhouse, please take them, otherwise I'll move or get rid of them when I set up for the class at the brewhouse Tuesday.
Also, two sets of chrome wire shelves appeared in the member storage area that are different sized than the storage shelves. We already have empty storage shelves for members who want it - my sense is we should repurpose or get rid of it, but didn't want to act unilaterally.

Until the air hockey table is gone, I don't believe it possible to comfortably fit 15 people upstairs for a class.
Good point. I'll take the legs off and put it in the club storage room. Or maybe when folks are there for the Super Bowl party they could do it.

Thanks Jim, I have a little breathing room before Cerveza de Mayo design work kicks in, so I'll put some time into organizing our club storage htis month. We can use the shelves, especially the wire metro rack on wheels.
That's a good idea, Steven.
