hey fellow CHAOTIC members FOBAB is looking for volunteers to man the tables. I did it last year and it was awesome...
This year's Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beers (FOBAB) is just around the corner. This great festival is being held on Saturday, November 16th at the Skyline Loft – Bridgeport Art Center located at 1200 W. 35th Street in Chicago. This is going to be the biggest FOBAB yet, so we need lots of hard-working volunteers who are dedicated to making this a great event. We need volunteers to serve as stewards for the competition in the morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. and servers for both festival sessions, 1-5 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. For those working multiple shifts, a meal in between will be provided. All volunteers will receive a festival T-shirt and a thank-you gift to show our appreciation for your support. Drinking in moderation is allowed.
While the venue is the same as last year, changes in set up and procedures have changed. In order for all the volunteers to be ready with an understanding of expectations when the doors open, a short mandatory training will be provided in advance of the event. Training will be held at a city location and a suburban location to make it easier for volunteers to attend. Dates and exact locations of these training meetings are yet to be determined.
If you are interested in helping out at this event, please contact me directly, noting the shift(s) that you would like to work: competition, afternoon session and/or evening session.
