Grain Bins Inside the Brew House

Please do not bring the grain bins into the brew house.  We had been doing this during winter because the grain was freezing, so it's no longer neccessary.  As they are not water tight, there is now rancid wort on the floor by the storage bins and a puddle of the stuff along the ferm room.  The brew house cannot be left in this condition.

If you are unable to carry your mash tun across the parking lot, feel free to wheel a bin to the garage door, but please return it to their location in front of our parking spaces.  Thanks.

Update:  The compost guy (Ken

Update:  The compost guy (Ken) is stopping by the brew house tomorrow.  He is going to check the bins for leaks and replace them if necessary.  (Still, do not leave in the brew house.)  He will also drop off a third bin, so we shouldn't have any more capacity issues with grain disposal.

Awesome! Thanks, Jeff!

Awesome! Thanks, Jeff!

(I'm going to take photos on Sunday of the new bins and send it to that guy, by the way, so don't worry about those photos I asked you take of 'em)

Cool!  It'll look much better

Cool!  It'll look much better photo-wise with three bins, instead of one lonely bin by the train tracks.

BTW, when we went from two to one bin, Ken didn't take the bin, someone stole it.  He said it happens sometimes and wasn't too concerned.  If one goes missing again, he plans to somehow secure them in place.
